Chameleons (newport) Swingers Club

I went to Chameleons (Newport) last saturday nite!! Is has only been open on saturdays since the 9th august2008. I had a fabulous time, the staff were really friendly and the others members made me feel very welcome! Its was alot quieter than a friday night but was fine for a first visit. No hourdes of single guys smuthering you and the couple were very inviting. Overall i had a fabulous night and recommend it to everyone.

Friendly Staff and good facilities although the place is a bit of a maze - might be a good idea to label the rooms as most just have a fire door sign on them - most confusing. The only down side to our visit in July was the preditory behaviour of some of the single Guys. We've visited several Clubs so know what to expect but the manners of some was less than exemplory. Why don't the guys realise that playing with themselves within inches of the womans head is unlikely to make friends or get them an invite.

We are just back from our first visit to Chamelions (Friday night) and it sure as hell wont be our last. The host is great and welcoming, the cpls that go there are friendly and as the evening wore on they had most definately left their inhibitions in their cars. Its easy to find (keep in mind in the directions the islands that are mentioned are roundabouts, had us confused at first)and parking a plenty. The single fellahs that go are not pushy or preditory which was nice. All in all we had a fantastic night and will now be going regularily. If your into clubs then try it we doubt you will be dissapointed.

we have been to both the newport and brum chams a number of times over the last few years and can honestly say we've never come home without a huge grin on our faces.

we tend to go to the newport chams more often due to distance- also the welsh peeps are so friendly and fun lovin lol. we have always found the club to be spotlessly clean and all folks - staff, couples and singles to be very friendly and respectful.

we enjoy meeting folks but i am quite shy and quiet whilst in the bar (Mrs) - but persevere with us: i lose all inhibitions when i hit the playrooms lol we have had lots of fun in the locked and unlocked rooms but the upstairs is my fave - both the swing (cept last time i nearly fell off as got a bit carried away lol) and the bench have seen many hours of pure bliss for us.

for anybody that hasnt been to a club before or who is anxious about playing it is very relaxed - absolutley no pressure - i was terrified on my first night but very quickly relaxed and had a very good time - we have all been first timers once - if u want, an experienced couple will often show u the ropes in a social and or sexual sense lol

all boundries respected - we have never had a problem with single males - but we have had so much fun with some x

in short we love chams - wish we could go more often - opening on sat nights really would make the difference for us but we will be there on a fri eve as soon as we can xxx

well we visited chams on the 21st dec, had been told that it was a nice place to go, so myslef and the good lady decided to give it ago, being the second time we have ever been to a swingers club, we were a little apprehensive, but excited.
We arrived a little early that night so sat outside and was waiting for a few people to go in. we then decided to go in ourselves.
Well what can i say,
a very warm welcome from the door staff, then of we set, stripped off towels in hand and was given a nice little tour by a lovely couple, then ascended in the bar area and met a few more lovely people, old and new friends. so at this point we felt really relaxed. The whole atmosphere was brilliant, the jaquzzi was fab, and the overall expriance was just brilliant.
We will be coming again and again and hopefully be a little less nervous next time. Well cya all in the new year.

fantastic club with a great mix of people you got to try it to believe it and you will definately enjoy it.

Have been to Chams in Newport several times the last time being May 2007 and have always had a great time.I love the towels/lingerie rule as it makes it so much easier to play and get in and out of the jacuzzi.The staff are so friendly and helpful and you may even be offered a wonderful back massage by one of the bar staff.I thoroughly recommend this club.It is well worth a visit and the travelling in my case

We went to Chams in Newport for the first time last fri - had a fab time, thanks J & P xx.

We were a bit nervous about the towels/flimsies rule. We both wore towels and it was never a problem, felt so relaxed.

It made geting in and out of the jacuzzi easy and getting naked was nice and quick too when we played *grin*.

Kept getting lost though, so many stairs & rooms lol.

Will definitely be going back - fun place to play.

Went to Chams last Friday (23rd March) for the first time in several months. Still as friendly and fun as ever but an increasingly wide range of people there (from their twenties to sixty plus) and had a great time playing with several couples and a very friendly single female in the jacuzzi. The buffet is back and was bigger than ever..you could feed youself for a week here if you wanted..with plenty of fruit and salad for the more health conscious (lovely grapes). The onsite hotel was fully booked (we had to stay elsewhere) but we have made sure we are booked again for this week..it's so easy just to leave the club and go straight to bed!
Overall, still great value, especially as it is now only £20 a night for couples.

After visiting the Brum Chams frequently I went to the Newport venue for the first time on Friday.

The setup is potentially better.
Friendly bar area, good hot tub and a maze of rooms upstairs. The venue is larger (many small rooms) than it is made out to look online.

In addition the dark rooms are more condusive to playing in and the cinema room is good for meeting people in too.

There is a good ratio of couples to singles there.

Friendly clientel and a good mix of ages there.
I am looking forward to going again. thanks to all I met there.

I go there every Friday and have done since the end of November 2006, last year and I LOVE the place...! Don't have a bad word to say about the place, it's brilliant and as it was the very first swingers club I have ever been to it has some sentimental meaning to me too.

I've met some fabulous people there (thank you for your comment, Ula and Paul hehe... ;-) ). You are a lovely couple.

I'd move into the place and would live there if I could lol...!


It was the first dungeon I have ever played in, and my experience on the first night there on Friday 24th Nov I will never forget, tying a sexy naked lady up on the cross on the wall while kissing her all over and playing with a vibrator while behind us, about 8 men watched, drooling and practically falling off the bench LOL.

Relatively newbie swinger (4 months to this month, Jan 2007), but have seen a LOT of fun...oerrr matronnn.

We went last friday, it was fantastic.

after reading one of tghe reviews on here we werent too sure what it would be like, but the place was friendly, clean, and there were more couples than single guys!

We enjoyed the night so much that we're going back this week as well.

I would definitely recomend this as a night out.

We went last night (15th Dec), This was our first time to go to a club and was very nevous but from the time we went through the door we were made to feel welcome and very relaxed. The staff were great.
The facilities were all clean and tidy.We used a number of facilities. There was a mixture of couples and singles (mainly couples) all made very good company.

Well we got to be honest, we would now go there before going down the local pub. Cant wait to go there agian, hopefully next friday.

We went to the club yesterday (25th of November). To be honest we didn't expect much after so many dissapointing clubs. But to our surprise we were welcomed be very friendly and helpfull staff. The club is very clean and nice. We have met some grea peeple there (Angela you were briliant). And we'll be definatelly going back again and again...

Went to club last friday , very sociable , helpful relaxed atmosphere . JACCUZI brill , good buffet and lots of play rooms . NO hassle from anyone , would recomend to all. So good will b there on fri 8th dec , cant get there b 4 that sob sob.

Meet and greet by car park attendant excellant and easier to relax inside knowing your transprt home will be there at 3 am

sauna, jacussi and showers all spotlessly clean

Bar area well staffed friendly helpful staff and made to feel very at home

chill out areas excellant and the two lounges upstairs with vanilla tv is a great idea.

35 +/- couples and about 8/9 singles

a fantastic nite all round and will def go back

Visited club recently amd met some nice people but not our sort regarding swoppoing. Some nice cosy areas where we could get intimate. Was promised a tour but eventually had\to make our own way. Not a prob as prefer to find our own way. Didn't realy float my boat and I know there is much better for the same money or even cheaper however, not in Newport.

In summary, glad we gave it a try but will not be going back.

Wow what can be said about this club, easy to find , lots of rooms to play in, even the single guys are respectful. We were given a full tour and and felt at easy straight away, met a fantastic couple (thanks c+j) we would recommend this club to all!!!!!!!

We returned the other week to look and see if there was any improvement. Don't even bother. The tub was still smelling as if there has been no change of water and there is a very obvious lack of hygiene and cleaning regimes.

Again, also a complete overdose of men.

Sorry Chameleons of Newport, you got it wrong. If you ever consider changing the club to couples only, then maybe you will increase your customers.

Went for the first time Friday 4th August & had great time....

It was my first time as a single guy, having always experienced the clubs as part of a couple, so was a little wary. It took a little while for any real action to start, but there was plenty of fun watching the couples & women have fun. Got to join in a 3 some with a cool couple, which led to a private 1 on 1 with the lady (C, you were very sexy & hope to see you again:-))

A good club, with some great rooms with something for everyone's taste. Add the sexy people & it's a great night!

Been to Chameleons Newport 3 Times now and still go to Birminham as often as possible mainly because we meet friends there and it still has far more room and visitors than Newport.
But we must say the staff in Newport are excellent as in Birminham ,and the facilities are very good.Clean modern and very freindly and yesterday about 36 couples and 11 singles made for a good night without any pressure.
You really must give it a try,Many who come to Newport use both clubs,The buffet is excellent a good crowd always make you feel at home .Hope more keep attending each week as it seems to be growing all the time well worth a visit. JO&Mark

we went to the club 30 june 06, for the first time, as we arrived we was greeted by the car park attendant who was very helpful, as we entered the club we found it very nicely decorated with steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzi, dungon, movie room, smoking and non smoking bars, we got a guided tour over 4 or 5 floors with endless rooms each with diffrent features ie swing, viewing room, private, orgy etc, there was no pressure to do anything and even the few single men that was there was very respectful and we didnt feel like lambs to the slaughter, two of the cpls we met we already knew from the other club in the midlands. and the management was just as friendly with a free buffet as well, will def go again. rog and liz

23rd June our first visit to this club in Newport, we both were feeling very unsure of what we were going to find there,we found out as much as we could about it from this site and it`s own site off the net.
But now we`ve met the friendly staff who were very happy to show us around and have a laugh with us all, loved the facilities which were clean and tidy with the addition of a few new features that opened tonight (very good indeed)met and chatted to some gr8 ppl and even had some fun, we both felt very at ease with it all, only one bad thing to say not the best directions from our way west Wales gr8 if your coming from the other direction ..lol.. (i`m really nit picking now tho)
we can`t wait to do it again and again and again ..

We went to the club last night and met a gorgeous sexy young couple -you know who u are! It is a clean club with good facilities, quite a few single men, and a few nice looking ones too, not all predatory, and was quite busy last night. Couples were mainly 30 -50. Jacquzzi is nice although not massive like Chams in Birmingham. Interesting rooms upstairs, (it is a gay sauna in the week)some lockable. Cinema is cool. All in all worth visiting but probably better if you go with friends or arrange to meet people there.

Went back to this club for the third time on 12th May. Seemed a little busier than usual and we were told that it had been advertised in the local press.

Still as friendly as always but, sadly, the buffet seemed to have stopped, maybe because of 'low numbers' and 'wastage'.

Very impressed by the security, keen eyed guys kept an eye on cars and the people coming in and out, which is always reassuring.

Can't understand the comment about the place looking 'tired' as it is all newly decorated and, after visiting many clubs around the country, seems, by far, one of the smartest around. Also can't understand the comment about most of the couples being in their '50's' as we would say the age range is very wide between early 20's to 60's (and we have no problem with older people having fun...hope we are the same at their age ;-) ) with the majority being in their 30's and 40's.

Can't say, in the three times we've been we've ever had any problems with single men, yes there are some there (and the club is NEVER advertised as 'couples only') but they have not been pushy in any way (and had lots of fun with some of them!)

So to sum it all up, been three times now and love it as much as always...yes it will be good when they have a larger attendance but the place has only been open just over a month and word needs to get around.

Finally, apoigies for the person who thought it a long way to walk. Guess it's all relative, we think, as the walk only takes about ten minutes or so(and we have done it there and back each time) that it is a short distance but we guess, for those that aren't as used to walking as we are, just over a mile and a half may seem a long way. It's up to you :-)

We went to Chameleons Newport on Friday 5th May, facilities good, staff friendly. There were about 12 couples(mainly in their 50's)and about 12 single guys. To the reviewer who mentioned missing the buffet, as we understand they are not getting the support they hoped for, so are no longer putting on a buffet in the evening but are still charging an excessive £25 entrance fee for a couple on a Friday!

We visited the club yesterday (5th May) and took the earlier reviewer advice about being close to railway station. The distance is over 2 km. My wife in heels was not a happy bunny by the time we arrived at the club.

When we got there we were warmly greeted and showed to the couples changing room. Good secure facilities.

There is a fabulous jaquzzi.

We spoke to some couples but decided they were not what we were looking for. Even with the small amout of people there, it felt crowded. The men certainly outnumbered couples.

We did get together with one couple who were also disappointed in the Newport Venue and decided to go to our hotel to "get it together". Unfortunaltly we missed the buffet which understand is good.

Would we go back? Not in near future.

We visited the club in April and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. Service was good and facilities acceptable. However, the building is a little tired and small.

There were about 10-15 couples there with around 10 single men. Some of the men were annoying but with a gentle "no" they went away. I also thought the night was billed as "couples only".

We had a look in the cinema and as we were leaving my wife stepped in goo on the floor. That put her off for the evening. Gentlemen, the proprieter provide tissues.......please use them.

Will we go back? Probably not in the short term. It's a long drive from West Wales to a club that has a long way to go. Notwithstanding that, I wish them well.

Just some more info! Watch when parking car in nearbye streets. Very small and congested. Our car got pranged.

We are a young couple and went on Friday 28th April, there was about 20 couples and 15 single guys there. We had a great time and will be going again soon. This is a fantastic club with loads of play rooms, cinema, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and nice clean showers (highly recommended). Our only grievance is that they don't chill your drinks.

this club is good, staff are very friendly and welcoming..it is very clean and has a very relaxed atmosphere.
unfortunatly..i think we chose the wrong night to go (28 april) being a bank holiday weekend i think lots of people went elsewhere because it seemed very quiet with very few people there...there did seem to be a few single men hanging around to my surprise because i thought it was a couples only night...
no fun had with other couples but mainly down to the fact that not many people were there...we wil be going back in 3 months time ( as it's only round the corner from us ) and hopefully word will have got around a bit better by then about the club and there will be a few more willing couples in attendance.

Just want to tell everyone how great the new Chameleons is in Newport (Gwent) went for the first time last night(Friday 14th April). The staff were really friendly, everything was very clean and tidy and had a great time with some lovely people. There was no problem with hordes of single men following us around either (which has, often, happened elsewhere ) Also stayed in the hotel rooms there which, at £40 a night with breakfast is great value.
At the moment it's only open on Friday night from 9.30pm but they are hoping to open on a Saturday night if it is busy enough. (It operates as The Greenhouse, gay sauna club the rest of the time)



The facilities include a 20 seater jacuzzi, sauna, several play rooms (some lockable and private, others large and for general fun), a large bar area, a small cinema and two large lounges (one smoking and one non smoking). They also intend to open more rooms upstairs soon and have a roof garden for the summer. All these facilities are of a very high standard. We were also impressed by the security of the place with CCTV, security guards and a very diligent check of new members id (this, sadly, doesn't happen everywhere too, which can be a little worrying)

PS Also easy walking distance from Newport Train Station, which can't be a bad thing?
