Loving the new facilities ( dungeon and pole ) !!!! The decor has never bothered me but hey the lick of paint in the pvt rooms and some other minor changes were a great surprise. Secondly last weekend we tried another club for a birthday night out and I have to be honest we all said we prefered Eurekas.... Its relaxed, fun easy going, the staff are great and as we normally travel in a group they put up with us and look after us well!!!!! It may not be hardcore but who cares you make your own entertainment and we can not wait for the summer events !!!! ;0)

Keep up the good work and we ll all be back very soon x

Hiya thought we would write a little something about our first night here, we went on Saturday 27th feb for sharee's birthday, we read the reviews on here before we went , as there so mixed we didn't know what to expect good or bad.
People are right the club is a little hard to find the first time as it's a little out the way but it will be easyier the next time as once you have seen where to get in there is no problems, first impressions was wow this is a lot bigger than expected as it was only our second time to a club, we got shown around the inside and out side of the club and thought god this looks lovely, log cabins out side great smoking area big main roomwith dancefloor, 2 jaccuzi's one for couples only and one for singles and couples which we thought was a great idea, the rooms were ok, tidy but a bit bare, but are in the middle of getting done, music was good, a real mixture for eveyone we danced our socks off lol, we were made to feel really welcome and felt relaxed as soon as we got there as a lot of people from here go, and were soon saying hello, we really felt part of the night and are already planning the next visit for stu's birthday 13th march, so if your free come join us , it's a great night ! Hope to see you there x x stu and Sharee x x x x

We have been going to Eureka for years, i (julie) remember when it was a run down wreck of a place where the pool was heated only by an old wood stove, with paint peeling off the pool and surrounding area, i didn't dare go inside except for quick visit to the toilet, it never had half the facilities it has now. Then Alan took over, God rest his soul!, and turned the place around to what it is now. We think it's a fantastic friendly place, pool, hot tubs & saunas, food, accommodation, the beautiful setting (in the summer), dancing (so the music isn't to everyones liking, at least it's a bit of everything), now it has a fetish night. Best of all the staff who put in an amazing effort to keep things running smoothly and organising great entertainment. Well done. x

Went to Eureka Club for the first time on a saturday evening which is for couples and singles. The club is in a remote locations and could be concidered hard to find. On entry we found the staff we very friendly and helpful telling you what you need to know and taking you on a tour of the facilities. It is clean and the other members are very friendly and respectable, There is no pressure to do things you may feel unconfortable with. Ideal for first timers we found. Will defently be revisiting as first time was a little scary but got in to the flow pretty easily.
Would liked there to have been a few more younger people there but in total it was a good experience for both of us.

Wednesday 18th November.

This was my first visit didn't know what to expect. Had read reviews mostly good and a view bad. I eventually found it thank goodness. First impressions were it seemed a bit lack luster in appearance. However I paid the entrance fee and was shown round very quickly. There didn't seem to be many people around a few couples sitting at the tables. I used the spa facility which was ok. However I sat on my own for hours looking and hoping to talk to somone but it didn't happen. There were a few single guys just gawping at females. I was not impressed. I have been told it is a lot better on a weekend. It needs to be. I have not written it off yet but will only visit again on weekend if invited to go with a female or couple.

although a bit tatty, Eureka is the king of swinging clubs - friendly people, dancing, playrooms and pool in the summer - who could ask for more!!! oh yes a 'full english' in the mornings - and thats there too - bliss!!!

2nd Nov 2009 - 8:06pm
First time at swinging club. I took up an invition for halloween night with no expectations..

We meet up with a another couple from here and all had a fab time. The club was decorated halloween . 80% of partygoers joined in with the theme and the club and setting added to the whole spooky mood .

Everyone was friendly , there was no pressure and to be fair though sober I hardy noticed the decor other than the big spider in the couples room !!!! RE comments made in other reviews, there were plenty of better things to look at !!

RE the music .... When we arrived it was 80s then slow, then R &B ( not rave ) and Im 39 , then 50 S and back to slow.. Modern tunes and oldies mixed together so something for everyone.. Even though I felt ""rock around the clock"" didnt match the couples room mood, we had a good laugh about it...;0)

Compliments to the management , I d definately go again and have mentioned to others how relaxed it is there... We are planning another trip very soon.

Personally I could not fault the place, even its isolated location is perfect.. If you want a relaxed, fun night with friendly cheerful people , you cant beat this place... If your more interestd in the decor then perhaps yr looking in the wrong places...!!!!

Went on Saturday night and had a great time. My one criticism is some of the music. It is ok up to about 11.30 when it is standard 80's disco music that you can dance to but then the music changes to a more boring, rave type music played at a louder volume. I obviously cannot speak for everyone and i'm sure some will disagree with me but as the majority of people are over 35, or even older, this would not seem to be the place for rave music. This seems to be born out by the people I speak to and last Saturday the couple on our table, who are regulars, actually left early because of the music. Something the club might want to consider.

We went on a Saturday night and had a great time.......

We have read a review that said the club was like a transport cafe and there is an element of truth in this. The decor is a bit tired and the playrooms could be better furnished.

The welcome that we received more than made up for the decor. Everyone that we spoke to was friendly, non-pushy and protective of us newbies.

Once we had relaxed a bit and the place started to fill up, we found ourselves very comfortable and surprised ourselves by having a play.

There are single men in abundance, but they were at no time intimidating.

There is a good party atmosphere, good music and plenty of room for a good boogie. Soft drinks were reasonably priced and there was no limit to ice and glasses available.

We probably benefitted by going outside to the smoking area once in a while. It was easier to chat to others out there, and we met several people whom we have chatted with in the Kent room on this website.

We plan to go back and hope to meet more of our chatroom buddies there....... we recommend that you go with an open mind and a friendly attitude, if you say you are new, you will be amazed at how many of the regulars go out of their way to make you feel right at home, without ever being pushy.

Seating is limitied and you have to phone right on the dot of 11 if you are not a club member to have a chance of getting a seat at a table inside.

I agree with Arista, the club is not the same on saturday nights. We have stopped going despite the massive improvement in the facilities.

13th Sep 2009 - 7:17pm
Went to Eureka on Saturday night as newbies with a few reservations. Our overall impression was favourable and rather than subject you to endless blah here is what we found:

* Location - difficult to find but ideal !

* Clientele - a lot older than we had expected but not an issue as us '40somethings' tend to be less inhibited.

* Behaviour and attitude of other guests - Exemplary. A shake of the head means 'no' and there was no one 'trying it on'.We were pleasantly shocked.

* The Staff - Fantastic - Polite and attentive. In the Sauna area we were asked if asingle male who had been 'hovering' outside a playroom was bothering us - he hadn't but the concern was genuine.

* Play Rooms - ah, this is where we agree with previous reviewers. Very poor condition , ripped upholstery , dreadful decor and it really lets down what could be a wonderful venue.

* Did we play ? - well ofcourse. A nice single guy who made my wife's first experience one we will repeat.

We have been going to the club for the last three years, the party nights have slowly changed from a being 95% naked to 5%. The funny thing is that there was far more swinging when it was 95% naturist. Most guys stay dressed the whole evening on party nights. I understand from the management that if they insisted on guys getting naked they would lose the clientel. I would like to see the return of the old Eureka where the girls dressed in sexy gear and the guys went naked. I know there is a nude only night on the first thursday in the month but that is not what the old Eureka was about, the girls always prefer to dress in sexy gear and thats how the guys like it...I would love that to be the dress code for the nude thursday I am sure it would become more popular.

Date of visit 22/8/09

Walesjos if only I had read your comments before going! It would have saved us the roundtrip. Externally on a hot day it's probably OK for the nudists but as swingers we found the place sadly lacking. It's rundown and in need of serious refurbishment, the water in both the pool and the spa was awful (god knows when they changed it last!). Whilst it is unfair to lump all the staff into a single bucket the people skills were very low in the majority of them. Being our first (and last) visit we were expecting more than a perfunctionary 'hi' then nothing.
Once we had found our feet and a stiff drink we set off to explore. The clientel seems to fall into three very distinct categories - the regular clique, the newbies on the night, and the hunting pack. Big mistake to venture outside, within seconds we were followed everywhere by a pack of single males on the hunt for quick gropes and quick shag. Even a firm NO had to be reinforced to one idiot. The attention overpowered the other-half and she started to feel uncomfortable with the attention.

A soujourn back to the bar area for a drink was followed my more un-invited groping at the bar.

At the moment this club is at the bottom end of the market - very definately NOT recommended there are far better clubs to enjoy yourself.

Did we have 'fun' - yes we did but not there :-)

17th Aug 2009 - 6:23pm
We went Sunday 17/08/09 and were very disapointed. Weather good but venue very poor. I'll explain its like a working mans club with only a few people walking around naked. The staff need a lesson in customer care and attentiveness. They don't seem to want to serve customers just to loiter and eat. I've never seen so many weird single guys. We felt intimited by the way they followed us. The building is tired and hasnt had a penny spent on it in years. The facilities are poor. One jacuzzi worked and someone (I think he worked there) walked out and very rudely pointed to the maximum allowed sign and told a guy to get out. Everyone was embarassed to say the least. The worst part of the club was that there are no clear boundries for naturism. Most of the people in the club house are fully clothed and stare continuously at you if you are naked. Their website looked good and I hoped that this was going to be a gem of a find but it was a very dirty, tired establishment full of rough looking people who would be more at home at the pub thats on teh tv program "Shameless"

I go whenever it is sunny and I'm never disappointed. It is the perfect mix between naturist club and swinger club, you get out of it what you want. Very friendly and if anyone is worried about going I would be happy to meet you there :)

The staff are really lovely. If you are lovers of outdoor fun, nothing compares to Eureka.
