Our first visit was a Monday evening. We were usure what to expect and went with an open mind. As newbies we were given a tour of the facilities after getting undressed just inside the outer door!!!! Yes the pics on the website do paint a brighter picture than what it is but for first timers we took it at face value. The swimming pool was a little on the cold side but we still tried it out tho the hot tubs were ok, although my partner did get a telling off for not sticking to the rules, naughty boy!!!!
We spent some time in the health spa where there were several middle aged couples and several middle aged single guys. It was all very relaxed, tho everyone did keep themselves to themselves.
When we ventured up to the fun area, it was strange watching a couple shagging but chatting at the same time and the background music made you think you were in the local chinese restaurant...... not erotic or arousing for me....maybe i was expecting couples to be having hot sex and enjoying it, not discussing the price of bread while pumping away, lol
We decided to visit one of the private rooms.....well they must be about 7' by 4', the bed being the height of an operating table.......we had expected an area both of you could be comfortable on and a room with a viewing window, so we were disappointed, it was either the door open or closed.....so we left it open to allow others to view and i had a wonderful orgasm........
10pm was kicking out time and altho we had got ourselves in the chinese restaurant, we were told they were closing.........so it was everyone back to the changing area to get dressed.
Its a good place to dip your toe to see if you like the whole idea of the naturist spa and also having sex in public............and of course trying to break those rules of no intimate touching in the wet areas.......isnt that really why everyone was there?????
We only had about 1 1/2 hours in the club as we arrived late evening, but it was a pleasant and interesting evening......your visit is what YOU make it.

I have been to BGHS a number of times, both as a single guy and with a couple of Lady friends, I have nothing really negative to say about the place, it's well run and pretty clean.
If you are a single guy then it can be a little hard to find action unless your Bi, it is a little bit of a climb up to the 2nd floor rest rooms but it's usually worth it.
Of course you get the usual following of blokes that try to follow couples everywhere like bees round a honey pot but I think that's typical whereever you go. If you want action it can accomodate very well but if you just want to go for a spa session and a rub down then BGHS makes that just as easy by limiting sexual activity to the rest area
The staff are lovely and very helpfull, the place is clean, refreshments and food is very cheap and they seem to have made very good use of the limited space that they have.
Considering we live in a sexualy retarded place like Britain then thank god for little gems like BGHS

Although this is mostly men, they are 99% of the time very civilised and sensible - but sufficiently flirtatious that my wife knows what else is on offer without it being too pushy; and she has definitely had some great scenes mid week. She feels confident enough now that she'd go alone mid week (if it wasn't so far). Any single woman can safely go midweek - and if you don't want to play, then say no or just stay in the wet areas and coffee lounge. And if you do get a pushy guy - tell reception.

this is not a review as such but me asking for advice? is this club suitable for a single female age 40+, i am new to this scene but wish to try the whole adult sauna scene? I do not want to attend a club which is male on male only? can anyone advise?

hi went about 5 pm must have been about 20 people including 5 couples some where stuck up but 2 o3 wet all the way one was a session in the big room turnend into a wank session we all had a blow job and fuck must admit been before xmas and was bad but this was good

My partner and i have been going to the bg for over 10 years now and have enjoyed the place very much. it is much cleaner than Eurekas and more friendly too.

BHGS is a really nice venue with excellent spa facilites.
What's best about this venue is that the swinging only takes place place in a designated area, so it's an excellent venue for first timers, who might not actually want to play or meet others, but want to get a feel of what the scene/venue is about.
The private rooms have an excellent selection for those lookig for straight forward swops/private fun, or the more exhibitionist and voyeurs.

I have been to Bristol Gardens for many years, and have never regretted. The staff are always welcoming, and the place always lives up to expectation, whether you wish to develop a friendly contact, or just enjoy a relaxing time in the saunas or hotpools. Highly recommend.

In all the many years I have been going to BGHS I have NEVER found it dirty. Also regular checks are made on the water temperature and quality. I agree that it is not luxurious and the rest room area could be a little better (the lighting is if anything too DARK to my mind, no way is it bright in there!) but BGHS is, for what it is, a perfectly acceptable and nice place to visit, whether for relaxation or some fun if you're lucky. Sometimes I wonder if certain reviewees have actually attended the place they are reviewing! To sum up, BGHS is definitely worth a try. Hundreds of people have been going back again and again over the years, so that must say something?

I have been to Bristol Gardens on both couple nights and day times. I prefer day times i find the coupels are very clicky specially if u are not part of their group. day times is fun but u have to lay out your boundaries with the guys but whatever place u go to you will need to lay those out lol
the whole place is clean the water is always checked there is no playing in the downstairs area at all it is forbidden which is fantastic.
i have been going there on and of for yrs now and i wouldnt stop going i love the place and oh yes i have had some fun times lol

I attended this club on Saturday night, couples night, it was the first time we had vistited a swingers club in the UK. We were very disapointed. The sauna area while looking good on the website was dirty. But it was the so called rest area that was the biggest let down. It felt like a cheap knocking shop. Lighting is in no way erotic. In fact so bright that you could see the dirt! We saw very little inter action between couples. The only club we have to compare to, is Fun4two. Bristol Gardens is not in same class. Our verdict save up and go to Fun4two in Holland.

After reading the reviews we thought we would add our own. We generally agree with all that has been said, but we thought we would confirm that this spa is a good place to start, if you have not been to a swinging establishment before. Overall, we would give it 4/5. Mainly because of the small changing area. You can either keep yourselves to yourselves, or participate in some play with others in some of the restrooms. Defo worth a visit.

From scanning the previous comments, this review may appear a little against the norm but given our experience we thought we'd share an alternative view on BGHS. We visited a few months ago and were more than a little disappointed. First, you aren't really greeted but more faced with a plastic screen in a small entrance to pass money through a slot making the whole visit instantly feel seedy. Through the security door, to a tiny changing area....the tasteless red carpet adding to the 'luxury' feel. A quick tour then we wandered around the place and visited each of the areas (play rooms excluded) however found each to be poorly lit, with a poor appearance.....basically we felt the whole place was in need of a good re-furb. Maybe we have been spoilt by establishments abroad but certainly will not be heading back to BGHS until it has improved. Hope this doesn't sound like a rant - just an opposing viewpoint for those that like to read reviews.

Well we visited BGHS yesterday evening and as far we are concerned it was perfect. (16th Aug 08)
We arrived at 6.15pm and we welcomed by a lady who explained that it was an Adult only spa and that swimming costumes were not allowed, when we acknowledged that this was fine she asked us to have a quick read of some rules, again we were asked if we were happy with the situation and paid £28 for our entry and two hot fluffy towels and a locker key. Saturday and Sunday nights after 6pm is for couples only.
Past the reception door is a reasonably sized locker room with a fluffy red carpet, couple of chairs, a hair drying area and a private changing cubicle.
Once we had removed our clothes and read the health & safety notices we were met by someone to guide us round the facilities. The lady who met us was fantastic, she had a two minute chat with us to give us an insight into the nature of the Spa then took through the door to the following…
A bar/lounge area: (Same level as entrance/changing rooms)
Couple of leather sofas, table and chairs and a bar that served hot & cold drinks, snacks and an endless supply of hot fluffy towels.
You deposit your key at this bar but remember your locker number or at least your name as this will be your tab for food and drink.
Wet area: (Downstairs)
At the bottom of the stairs are the only two toilets for the basement level then the door into the main Spa area. This area has a room ambient pool (IE un heated), several hot tubs, two steam rooms, two saunas and a few shower areas (one of which is an ice drench).
The atmosphere in this area is very polite, friendly and full of warm smiles for new and repeat guest.
People generally walk round with either their towels wrapped round them or with them casually draped over their shoulders, but other than the sauna areas you’ll be hanging your towels on one of the many rails.
Upstairs: (One level above the reception)
At the top of the stairs is another toilet, a sun bed room, a library/lounge area and a door marked ‘Rest Rooms’. The atmosphere and banter on this level is a little more playful but in no way intrusive or crude. Once you go through the ‘Rest Rooms’ door there doesn’t seem be any conversion only private whispers, the odd bit of laughter and the sound of sensual and sexual moans!
There are several small private rooms which have a ‘bed shelf’ and one that has two. These beds are certainly very high and are not very wide but there is enough room to get friendly with your partner.
In addition to these private rooms there is one larger private room which has 4 mats on a raised level (at about knee height).
After that there is another toilet and two large play areas, one is a square joined up matted area with 360 degree mirrors inviting none participants to discreetly view other couples.
There is one other area which is the largest of all the play areas which has several separate mats. When we were there we viewed 6 couples on the mats playing and watching the other couples on the mats next to them. This area seems to keep people in their couples and the mirrored area definitely seemed to be more for people who wanted to interact with the couples next to them.
Top level: (Two levels above the reception)
This area again has several separate mats at knee level but it is strictly for relaxing and not playing.
Beyond this area is a roof terrace which would usually have lounge mats for that all over tan!
All in all, in our view this is a fantastic place for a very gentle introduction to the lifestyle. My wife and I only played in a private room for two but the sexual atmosphere and erotic sounds from the nearby rooms was very arousing. We made two separate visits to the ‘Rest Rooms’ and each time we viewed several couples playing in each of the bigger open areas and the private room for four had a woman alone playing with herself and it appeared that her other half was looking for someone to join her/them.
Any apprehension we had (especially on my wife’s part) was removed about one minute into our tour. It is my guess that the lady who showed us round was the owner as she had great pride in the establishment and made us feel so at ease even though we were almost certainly the youngest couple in there.
So if there are people out there who are unsure where they should go to take their first step into the lifestyle then this place is certainly well worth your consideration, one things for sure, we will certainly be going back!

Went for the first time in June 08, I have been back four times since alone, with wife and with friend. Always made welcome, Clean,safe and water in the pools checked often. As many clean towels as you need are changed free of charge. Good snacks avalible, you can stay for an hour of the whole day for the same price. Looking forward to my next visit

we went July 08 weekday, meeting a friend from this site to show us around (MMF), as a bit shy on going in on own. but it was BRILL ,every one very friendly non pushy , yes there where a lot of single guy's there as where a few couples. place very clean and tidy , towels changed when ever needed, snacks and drinks cheap so could have a few and very tasty sandwiches. there is steep stairs between floor's but hey ! you can have a rest on the floors in-between LOL.. spent a lot of time in the very good spa-wet area, hot tub's and pool excellent.we have been back several times together now, and just can't wait to return.. relaxing and fun inc..

A good clean club with good clean facilities. The two saunas are set one hot and one warm and the same with the two steam rooms. A nice pool just large enough for a swim.
That said as a single guy looking for men only I felt uncomfortable with women cleaners. It is on the expensive side at 18 entry and extra for more towels. It would not suit anyone with a problem with stairs as spread over four floors including a mezanine.

Went here July 08 and whilst it was very quiet the facilities are excellent and a real example of how to run a heakth club should be set up and still be friendly. Even though it was quiet I still enjoyed myself with a couple of other customers. It was well worth the trip. Although a bit of trek out of town worth getting a taxi as its a good half hour walk from the town centre.

Me and my partner went last to BGHS and it was excellent. the facilities were star quality and staff were very friendly and helpful. We played with two couples upstairs and the mirroe room was excellent to watch and to be watched. Can't wait to go back again.

Good mix of people very relaxed atmosphere, staff are excellent. If you are thinking of going to a naturist spa for the first time this is a great place to have a pleasant experience. Don't go expecting to play, go to enjoy the facilities and nice friendly people and if the chance to play arises enjoy yourselves
