Sat 17th Oct, Red Night. Club has downstairs dungeon, grope room, empty room (?),upstairs 6 playrooms, main area and of course bar. See the other review for more details on rooms.
Ok we have been to a few clubs, so feel we can compare and give our views, but of course it is our opinion only here so like anything in life you have to try for yourself to really make your mind up.
Sadly can only think of two positives, attitude, funny and attentive staff working behind the bar, and the playrooms beautifully decorated, clean and a lovely ambience.
Negatives from the bottom up! Dungeon too cold, was told that the cold spell had caught them unawares so only had three little heaters for whole club!? It is October after all! For an entrance fee of 40% above other clubs thought they may have invested in some heaters. Empty room off the dungeon, close it off as loses heat! Equipment in there has not been thought through, resident mistress was meant to be there, never saw her. Now understand that this is not everyones cup of tea, but if you do it, do it properly or at least ask a cross section of people for views.
Also downstairs ladies toilets. Small detail but the main areas are upstairs and we have to go up and down stairs in high heels. Dont think that can be changed, except the stairs are quite steep and small steps, please think about us ladies!
Upstairs as mentioned playroom lovely, but cold. Again no heating in any of them. At swinging clubs people take clothes off and if then get cold I get turned off, might just be me! Of course once you get going then it is fine. Main area lovely big sofas, but the layout does not entice people to mingle. The bar area is too small and that is where people do mingle. Oh and please invest in a threshold in the doorway to the main area, it is a rise of about an inch, not easily visible, and with high heels recipe for a fall.
Mix of people was ok, a few single gents but very well behaved, lots of dancing going on by what seemed staff, which was good to watch for a period of time!
Finally, at £55 to get in, it is not worth it. £20 more than other clubs in area, and those clubs have hot tubs etc for the chill areas, better equipped dungeon areas, more people (!), and hence more atmosphere. If the management invest in some heat, make the dungeon a dungeon that people will want to play in or observe, rearrange the upstairs area with the sofas to make it less like little camps, then have a fighting chance of appealing to more. But at £55 it is only £5 less than we paid the previous weekend to go to fantastic club, more atmosphere, and we had a room for the night as well that would not be out of place in a 4 star hotel.
As they say pays your money and make your choice, we have now made ours.
