We visited Partners for the first time on Saturday 19th March, entrance fee was £20 (couple) No id require for a couple (you need it if you're a single male) we arrived around 10pm, parking was easy enough in the side road adjacent to the club.
We'd given them a call a few days before and asked a couple of questions that the website did not answer, all were answered and we thought we'd give it a shot.
The changing rooms were clean enough, lockable locker so your clothes were secure. The club was quite big inside, the pics on the website were accurate in regards to what you were looking at.
What you should be given when you get there is a map, the place has a little warren of very narrow walkways which when entered take you to some very dark areas, almost pitch black ..which unnerved Jules a little, it would have been better if there was some illumination, ever a few led's would have been better than none and when we say narrow walkways we mean narrow, you have to sort of edge along sideways to get down them.
We personally found the decor a little dull and the club for the most part was somewhat cold and appeared to have very little atmosphere. The orgy room was the warmest of the rooms but because you could enter it one end, walk around the edge of the oval orgy bed and leave the other end it became a bit of a walkway which could be a little off-putting if you were wanting to get in on and there were people walking through. The dungeon was as described but we found it very cold to even walk into.
The pools are quite big and would easily cater for 6 or 7 couples in each, in fact when we first went into the pool area we were met with 6 couples all getting up to something in the pool...which whilst it may be fun for some just isn't us, we're all for a little bodily fluids being exchanged here and there but in a pool with 12 people?
The sauna was big but you couldn't add any water to it as there was no bucket, so it stayed warm but it wasn't sauna hot but if more water could have been added we think it would have been excellent. We were a little put off with a comment one of those in the sauna made which was 'pubs close soon, the place will get busy soon' Yuk! I can think of nothing worse than people coming to a swingers club after an evening of pubbing it.
Showers were clean and usable, the bar area was big and seemed well served (take your own alcohol as they do not have a licence) but it was a little off-putting to sit in there with shorts and a towel while others were enjoying a bite to eat fully clothed, not a good mix.
We gave it an hour, people seemed friendly enough and there was a good amount of couples of all ages and single male ratio was pretty fair, not too many to hound you around but enough to know that should the opportunity to have fun arise you would easily be able to find what you were looking for.
We checked out the private rooms, they were clean enough but again they were poorly lit and the viewing area to the couples room was very poor.
We may have picked the wrong Saturday night but it wasn't quite the club we thought it would be, in short it was reasonably well facilitated but had little or no atmosphere and given that you're down to your underwear or towel the place was wayyy to cold for Jules to consider donning her birthday suit.
With better lighting and perhaps music piped throughout the club the atmosphere might change and if the decor was a little more bright and cheerful we think Partners could be a club to shout about and perhaps because we were new to the club we didn't give it enough of a fun but because it was so cold inside we just had to leave early.
Would we return? If some of the above issues were addressed then i see no reason why not but until then we wont be returning.
Perhaps we're a little fussy but we've been to other clubs and not experienced the same (see our Cupids review for the same night)
