I get that sometimes but it ususally only lasts a couple minutes. Although I've been getting it a lot this week. When it's particularly bad I usually quite from my browser, then come back 5-10 minutes later. You may need to do thid more than once and then it clears up.

As usual I only get this problem with this site. icon_rolleyes.gif

The 'grey screen' basically means that you are having problems connecting to the chat room servers.

You need to consider running the communication test to see whether any failed or timed out results are shown:

The most common cause of this grey screen problem is a firewall. This can range from the Windows XP firewall to a firewall set up in a router or wireless router.

A few new cases that have cropped up recently have coincided with installing the latest Real Player software. We're not sure why but we are taking a look into this so it is something to bare in mind.

A user that I spoke to last week simply removed the Real Player software and managed to resume his access immediately. Definitely worth a try.

Edit: If you are unsure how to go about doing this, you can remove programs via the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
