Just wondering if anyone elses webcam looks all blocky on the new servers. It used to be crystal clear but now looks really bad. Yet in msn its crystal clear again.

Ive just come out the chat there and yeah, my cam looks more pixellated. I've not tried it on msn tho.

Ours is a lot more pixellated too when compared to the previous version of chat but it works fine in other programs.
Has the quality been compromised for the sake of server bandwidth?

my cam has not been its usual crystal clear self
actually the distorted look probly makes me look better

Yes it seems a shame that the excellent quality of the cams has been compromised. I am really quite disappointed, as the cam quality used to be excellent, and now we all look like people off crimewatch.
Please SH do something soon.

Interesting stuff!
I have been reading this over the weekend but couldn't actually do anything about it until today for technical reasons.
Anyway, the interestng bit is... their supposed to be much better quality! I upped the quality and framerate settings, why its made it worse i don't know!
I will have a play again today and either set it back to how it was before, or see if i can get it better still.

thanks for looking into this, i got a reply from my ticket that mentioned the settings were put back but the cams are still the same, sorry in advance if you havent done it yet

who's been fiddling with the cams again, noticed over the last few days cam quality has deteriorated and become all blocky again.

I fort it woz just me that fort the cams looked strange 
[i may ov been drinking that nite i saw sum sexy man on cam in stoke/staffs room] 
LOL ... cuz since that nite when ever i turn the cams on in stoke room ..nope not one single sexy man ...they all look like they got 3 heads n escaped from my house .

yep mine to but some cams look blocky and some dont
