People Stuck In Chat

Since reverting chat back to the original configuration the number of people getting stuck in there has dropped significantly, but it still happens.

Fixing it is easy, it just needs a kick from a chatroom op or one of the admin team, the hardest thing is finding the room that these people are stuck in.

So the purpose of this thread is twofold;

1) Post in here if you get stuck, if you can tell us the last room and which server you were on, it will make it easier to fix things.
2) Post in here if you spot the stuck person in a room, with the room name and server.

Two things please;

Don't clog up the thread with banter, although I will be clearing it out from time to time.

And if you post in here saying you are stuck, post again when you can get back in, if you don't, there's a good chance you will get kicked.

There's other threads for other issues, don't post any other problems in here.

Important

When you go into chat, you download the chat application onto your PC, the site checks periodically that the chat application is still connected to the site, if it gets feedback then the site assumes that you are still in there.

Now, if you leave chat open in another machine, it will think you are still in there, also on some pc's even after you leave chat, something runs in the background, or some weird shit goes on and a cached version sends out a response, we haven't been able to replicate it locally, but it has happened, so one thing that may help is deleteing all temporary Internet files, closing everything and then restarting your PC.

I was chatting in the room.. and the name list wouldnt let me chat to all. It kept moving the list and taking me down to the last person on it so i end up whispering them. I've had to close the chat down and wait 5 mins... Upon the 5 mins being up, ive tried to get bk in and it won't let me... Giving me the error has been sent to the invstigation team.

I've mailed Woohoo to ask him to kick me out so i can get bk in and its my room.

Still trying to get bk in 25 mins later

I keep getting disconnected again

I was on server 1 nd tried to change to server 3... but keep getting the disconnected message.

Ive mailed Fiona.. and waiting for her to go and see if im stuck in the nw room server 1

Ive even waited 5 mins and gone bk in on server 2.. as ive tried to change to server 3 ive got the disconnected message again.

You aren't stuck in there!!

Before i do... plz do NOT think i am having a pop at anybody. I know ops have there own lives and things to do and do not sit on here 24/7....

It's just i've found on many occasions over the last few weeks that when seeing an op online and mailing them with a problem... alot of the time they are gone 10/15/20 minutes later and the mails arn't opened. I was wondering if ops could check there mail box b4 they log out

It is not always true that an op is on line when you mail them...sometimes their ID stays in the forum list for a time after leaving.

I can assure you, that I for one always check my inbox BEFORE logging off, but still find mails the next time I log on posted some ten minutes after I have left!

the best thing to do is refresh the page before mailing and you may find the ops are not there...just a thought
