Open a room in server 4 next Wednesday evening at eight O clock 
The room name must NOT contain your user name and you, as the room host, are not allowed on cam
The room with the most people in it after half an hour is the winner

I'd like to do a chatroom challenge
We have had a bit of a joke lately in the nw rom with some of the guys.. where i have had them on cam in a shirt and tie...Phhwwooaarrrrrr
I'd love to arrange, just for a giggle.. that any guys on cam have to wear a Shirt and Tie.. not a suit.. Just S & T

So, just to be clear. You have decided to get everybody to create wind up rooms at a given time just to tick off most of the chatters? I guess you will have cleared this with the chatroom ops to ensure that it doesn't break the rules and that there will be sufficient cover to help with all of the complaints received from the people who don't read the forums

Last night I opened a Campanology room and then later a Cabbages room...
Nobody seemed to get upset !!
In fact everybody I spoke to was having a laugh. Better delete this thread then ...laughing in the chatrooms NOT allowed ..
Sorry you find it offensive. I had no idea that I was breaking the AUP and I would have thought you might have said when you came in last night !!!

But can you just confirm what you are saying. A mass creation of windup rooms that could potentially be in breach of the chatroom rules or the site AUP is funny?

I thought it strange that somebody would open a bell ringing chatroom so I went in to investigate. If that is the type of room you are suggesting that is opened then I can't see an issue with that.
I do have an issue with your comment that "no other rules apply" clearly expressing your wish for other site users to ignore the rules of the site.
Maybe a better explanation, and an adherance to the site rules would make your project run smoother?

I was with Flower in the cabbage room last night when this idea was bought up!
The idea just came about as a bit of a laugh as we had people coming in asking about cabbages we were talk white red and green ones...picked red cabbages were refered...It was all a laugh there were about 15-20 people in at the time. We came up with the idea from that...who can come up with a room name. and get the most people to enter their room.
We stated the rules of the game to be:
1) you couldn't use your own name in the room title example Mine ladyminx etc cant be used.
2) No sexual wording Example..stripping cock fanny etc cant be used
3) the room host cant go on cam to entice people to stay in room...so I wouldnt be able to flash my boobs to keep people there..as this wouldnt be fair on Flower who Only has man boobs! lol
4) room names that were spoken about for a laugh last night were..Cabbages, fruit cocktail, worms, snakes bell ringing.
It was all spoken about with good humour and faith we were not going to exploit the chat room rules.

This explanation is totally different to the
"hey everybody lets break the rules" post that I have already commented on.
Providing the chatroom names do not breach the previously quoted rules and that individuals do not open more than one room at a time I really can't see a problem.
I should be around myself next wednesday evening just incase things go pear shaped.
To help the "non forum" chatroom members, it might be worth admin dropping a note into the chatroom news at the foot of the chatroom login page to explain to everybody what is happening.
you never know, I might even open a room myself.

When I said "No other rules apply" I meant no other "extra" rules apply !!
We had made up extra rules to give a level playing field. I wasn`t suggesting that people break the AUP !!
And as to the cheating and being underhand, Minx has shown a prime example of what I meant by advertising in here !!!

What a good idea. It's novel and fresh. I've not seen it done before in Chat either. Seems like a good night to do it as well, though a tough one! If I'm about I'll have a go and join in might even try and coerce some of the S'West chatters along. Worth a shot at something new isn't it.
