Disconnection

can anyone tell me why i keep getting disconnected when i go into chatrooms, have asked sh and they sent me a test to do which was sucessful but still hasnt helped

with so little information given about your computer and internet connection, it is impossible to guess what could be causing the problem.

by giving details about your computer processor / memory / operating system and other programs being run when the problem occurs, plus who your internet provider is can all help.

what download speed are you actually getting. (try running an online adsl speed test).

Then it's on to basic, routine pc maintenance. clearing cache, cookies, defraging that type of stuff.

ps - I recently formatted the harddrive on this pc. Loaded windows and everything else from scratch. The first time I visited the chatrooms using IE and firefox, they both downloaded the necesary flash plugins. Nothing difficult for me to do except click next a couple of times.

The chat system does work very well for many people, however there are some who struggle to keep connected.

hi ian, thanx for ur advice, if i go straight to server 2 when i first go into chatrooms im fine, i only get disconnected if i try to go into the other 3 servers so dont think its the pc as i can enter chatroom 2 with no problem
