Windows (xp) Update Problem

For all those of you running ZoneAlarm on Windows XP.

Please note that installation of the latest Microsoft updates for Windows might cause you to loose all internet connectivity.

If you fine that this occurs, uninstall update KB951978 then KB951748 and then Restart, this should restore your internet access.

Hold the computer off from automatically installing these updates until a solution s found - This will probably be a new update of ZoneAlarm, but this is not available yet.

I've spent an hour or so this evening finding this out the hard way!

My other computer broke last month and it wasn't that old, my isp said my modem was knackered yet I did tests on it an it said it was working ok...the computer was said to contact my isp as it was a fault at their end.

I have Zone alarm on it and haven't get the damn thing going since. Will have a play around with the weekend see if I can get it working!!
