Yes indeed Mods edit - please do not advertise other sites -- but the chatroom is pretty poor by comparison to SH, and from the point of view of downtime, SH has been fairly good of late -- if you joined in May Kay, this is probably the first real problem you have encountered. Be patient -- its worth it.....

Welcome to the site! I'm sorry you've had so many problems, but you haven't been with us very long have you?

Unfortunately SH is a victim of it's own success and every now and again there are problems, such as the ones you're experiencing. However most of the time things work just fine, and I know it can be frustrating when things go wrong, but be patient. There are many good people on this site and they'll try and fix it as quickly as they can.

Also don't forget all sites have occasional problems but SH is still one of the best sites out there. Personally I think it's the best, but I don't want to appear to be biased.

to the forums Kay. As well as the chatrooms, they're a great part of the site and a good place to meet people.

Hang in there, as others have said, occasionally there are probs. More often than not, the site is (imho) more than worth the membership fee.
