After all the worry, it's only right that people get to know it's been sorted - and well done the Admin dept for sorting this out for us

Yes it appears that the default is to allow quickies.

and if we find out most people prefer it the other way it can be changed, so far, based on the feedback we have had both on the forum and from the support tickets, more prefer them than not, those that don't like them can turn them off, this site will undoubtably change and if the choices are there then, whilst you may not like some of the changes you can opt out and form your own opinions on those that use those features.

So whilst we will be looking to satisfy the needs of the many, that doesn't mean that we won't be listening to the needs of the few.

It was a big mistake and I'll be the first to admit that, allowing non premium members to leave quickies was wrong, unlike everyone that has premium membership here there was nothing to stop someone signing up and leaving anything on a profile ie no accountability and nothing to loose, still you live and learn and since today the non premium members can't leave quickies.

yes i only knew as i made a post in another thread and was told in there i could now do this.

since the change ive been thinking alot about stuff.

do admin have a time of the year? poundering things wasnt it this time of the year when the site was taken over and chaos erupted? ( i was one of the eruptions)

maybe if you chose to make changes in the summer when peopel are less stressed there would be less eruptions lol

another thing, and this is a back handed compliment lol hang in there i dont give them often..

due to the fantastic way the ops and mods, and admin all deal with the shit we throw at them, the speed they deal with reports etc when i stamp my feet and have to wait ohhh all of a few hours /days it feels like its all gone wrong lol

there are many other sites out there where the modding admin are very much invisable. hard to reach and impossible to feel you are dealing with or being treated like a human.

so yes i feel advance warning and maybe a manual would have made it less stress for everyone. i do want to say thank you and well done.
