my friend has one child, works part time and gets some benefits, ie working tax credits and child tax credits. she gets the single persons allowance for council tax and £80 a month towards rent that is £450 a month. i know the hours she works and the money she gets, quite frankly i wonder how the hell she manages.
what ever way it's paid (and i'd like to know how the hell they get paid child tax credits when they don't work

) i still know that it doesn't cost an extra £20,000 a year to have four more kids.

No it doesnt seem right, which is why i was questioning the figures, when kev lost his job last year we struggled massively to survive tho, membership of here was our only Christmas present to each other, luxaries went out the window and i don't see how that family was fairly claiming so much unless there were other issues we are not aware of.
Child tax credit are paid according to the children, working family tax credit is paid if you have a job, the idea is that you are not on benefits that getting a job will cause you to loose, but already part of the tax system
