Hello I'm thinking of holding my first house party.
Is there any couples out there that would be willing to help me set it up.
I have quite a big place on four differnt levels and i think it would be a really good venue for a house party.
Any sugestions would be apreciated.
I'm thinking couples and single ladys mainly with a few single guys invited at a later date.
I would provide all the buffet food .
This is just in its infancy I'm thinking of a date in april or may.
Could couples and single ladys register thier intrest first please.

Hi Dishy, Im sure you will get lots of interest in this, but you will probably get more if you decide on a date first. That way, people can decide if they are available or not.

we are new to this but we are from manchester and may be interested, would feel more comfortable at a party with just couples or single women, may feel uncomfy with single men being pushy although like i said we are new to this so that may be a problem we shouldnt be worried about
If a single guy is lucky enough to get a invite to a private party in my experiance there is no way they can be pushy at a private party.

I'm a non smoker myself I'll be honest i hadn't given smoking any thought.
My place is on four floors so if there was enough people that smoked maybe the media room would be ok .
I think i will ask the people already on the list what they think too.
Is smoking or non smoking a priorty for you both

Me n Hubby could be interested in this, depending on date of course!! I smoke but hubby doesn't maybe if you have access to somewhere outside smokers could go there as it isn't fair to smoke in someone's house that doesn't smoke. Also it would be nice if you did have a few single males as some couples i.e.ourselves don't play with other couples but get on well with them socialy also i'm not bi, gosh that one was a long winded way of saying single males mmmmmmmm. (As long as there nice one's lol) xxx

Same here (the smoking thing and not playing with couples) which is why we didn't ask for an invite
however, the majority of couples do seem to want to play with other couples, so perhaps its just us who are odd

I hold house partys quite often and invite single guys/girls and couples. never had a problem with anyone being 'pushy'. I think its a little unfair to class all single guys as being pushy as they get enough bad press as it is.

im a none pushy guy that will sit on the sideline until someone asks me to join in,
if the venue is on 4 floors why not have a floor for the single guys and let the couples pick who they want, couples can also mingle on the guys floor if they so wish.

Hey 69XTC - good idea about the guys having a floor of their own.
That way if it's on a Saturday we can watch Match of the Day whilst waiting for some fun
