I had this sent to me the other day via an e mail, and as I live in the borough of Bexley....I thought I would share.

http://www.bexley-is-bonkers.co.uk/index.htm

I know that there has already been a thread regarding councils and wasting money which was taken off but....I have been told it is ok to start another one as long as it stays within the AUP.

I wonder if there are any other councils out there as bonkers as Bexley?

There is some very interesting reading here.

Mind you though Rob it is not just British councils that have done this.

Many parts of Europe have flattened houses that were built by British owners, purely because the builder had not registered the property with the local council.

Also....

I can only imagine how these people must feel.

MP's are no better either Rob...

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/887505/Expenses-MPs-grab-1-million-in-second-home-sale.html

Howard Stote is my actual GP, and I remember talking to him about a week after the Telegraphs scandals.

Funnily enough he said at the time that it was all over exaggerated....well he would have done. I wonder at my next visit to see him his attitudes will still be the same?

The use of the word Gestapo to describe people the writer doesnt like is offensive in the extreme to the millions who died in the death camps.

Perspective is a useful thing.

Not at all Staggs.

The old council thread was removed and I asked the site if I could start another similar one as the topic was still ongoing.

I am sure that if you have any problem with that, the site will explain it to you.

The council topic takes many forms and it made for very interesting reading, and this time I hope that it stays within the rules of the AUP.

Cannot see any obsession there at all dunno.gif

Seems my council is not the only one with mad rules...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1298290/Council-orders-family-having-picnic-remove-12-99-windbreak--branding-semi-permanent-structure.html

I do not know about wind, but they talk a bloody lot of hot air!

Voice 1: Ok brothers, let's all discuss what we've done since the last branch meeting of the obsessive right wing party. Who's got any achievements to tell us about?
Voice 2: Well I've posted some out of date stuff about councils on a swingers website.
Voice 1: Well done brother, you'll be ready to post on the Daily Mail website soon....

What do people actually want to discuss on this thread?

The endless insertion of links and no actual discussion or debate on the part of the poster seems futile.

Sorry if I can't see the point - maybe t'is me being dense... dunno.gif

Seems that some people do not want to discuss anything Nola.

I started the thread to let people know good and bad about their councils.

IF people do not want to discuss but merely to annoy, then move on to another thread....there are a few to choose from on here.

Or possibly with the sole intention of seeing this thread go down the same road as the other one perhaps dunno.gif

if you read it all you`ll see that an enforcement order was added in 2007 regards more of the property and is still going on to this day so it would appear current icon_wink.gif
