I've worn out countless pairs of Spencers, incuding the patchwork vareity, leather soled brogues, and trainers. Walked round with bottles of water and talc depending on how good the dance floor was or wasn't, spent thousands on vinyl, got the full set of Casino Anniversary Patches (real ones), once got to the semis of the annual Casino dance competion, used to go to the Morcambe Pier befor it got washed away, danced on stage with Tommy Hunt, have run my own soul nights, DJ'ed at many more, met Prince Phillip Mitchell, Shock hands with legend Edwin Starr months before he passed away, and can name most northern soul trax in 5. And tell you the artist. And the label. Phew!
