Chatroom Not Working - Edited Title

Here is a list of emoticons for the new chatroom, ill get round to adding a drop down list in the chatroom at some point, have fun....

Ill highlight as much as I can think off below, if anyone has any particular questions please post in this sticky, and ill answer the questions in this top post. Hopefully this will avoid the hundred million chatroom threads!

To those who get the “You have been disconnected” message when they try to join:

The chatroom has a current capacity of 250ish users. We are adding capacity within the next few days, to bring this to 500 users, should this not be enough we will keep increasing until we have enough capacity. If you try to join and the room is at capacity, then it will say “You have been disconnected”. As I say, this should be non existent in a few days time. This should have been done last week, but there have been complications out of our control (a bug in Macromedias software that they are working to fix).

With this increase in capacity, the cam quality will also increase, apologies for how it is now, it is necessary to keep it as low as possible to allow more people into the room.


A new version of the chatroom is also on its way, this will cater for a “No cams” room, where cams will be disabled. A lets meet up room, for people who like to ask “any one near london”, every 30 seconds. And of course the general lobby.

View user profile, and view user pics feature will also be added with this release.

Everytime I attempt to log in to the chatroom, I get a greyed out Server 2 with not buttons working. So I have to close it, wait 5 mins and try again.
Is there no chance of me trying to log in and get 1 or 3 instead, only this is my 3 rd attempt now and I'm a bit
It's happened before but not 3 times in a row.

Just in case the info is of any use ... I just tried and went straight in to chat 2 ... no probs at all ..

This mornong I have tried to log into the chat room only to be told that the authourisation has failed because I am alredy logged in.
I logged out of Sh completeley for 10 mins tried again and got the same message.

Please help

Perhaps you are still in a room somewhere? Did you log out correctly last time you were on?

Not saying this is the case her, but some members do not log out correctly each time they leave the site and leave their account open and idle in chat.

In such cases you will not be able to get back into chat, unless an op goes in and boots you out. You would then be able to log in again.

I'll go and have a look around for you

I got there in the end!

Sever 2 hates me.
I switched from 1 to 2 and again, it was just all greyed out. Bet there's loads of people in there right now having untold fun!



edit: It's just happened again! Grrr! This time, logged into server 2 and it's grey.

is it me or is there a problem with the chatrooms - i've not been able to get into the chatroom for days now. i get into server 3 or server 2 but just get a grey screen everytime.

ok, after several days of trying to get into the chatrooms I give up - from various threads in the forum it seems people are having problems getting in but would be nice to have been told if there is actually a problem.

There have been a few issues with server 2 runtie, but it all seems to be working ok now..

How you tried clearing your cache to see if that helps?

Thanks for your reply, i had already tried that and it didnt help.

I had recently installed realplayer though so i uninstalled it and i now seem to be able to get into the chatroom - strange!

Only been on for a short time today and already had server 3 crash 3 times.

Is anyone else struggling to get into chat or is a normal case of middle aged computer muppet operator?

Don't know what I've done. went into chat this morning o.k but now when I click the link all I get is .5 sec transferring then done white screen nothing. having read the threads uninstalled real player no joy

Are there any current problems with the chat servers?
I have been out of the chatrooms for over 30mins, logged out properly when I left, but when I try to log back into the chatrooms I keep getting the "you are still logged in message, please wait 5 mins" etc.

Can anybody help me please.
