I think doing them on a regular basis would be a great idea - I'm all in favour of having a newbies room on a monthly basis.

I think it would benefit from being publicised on a few occasions leading up to the nominated days by posting messages into chatrooms as an announcement. We may reach more of the people who need the help and probably don't read the forums....there seem to be a lot of those who never come in here.

When I ran the Pop Quiz a couple of months ago I did a bit of shameless publicity a few nights before by the occasional room message. Worked a treat.

Count me in if you want more help in the future. icon_smile.gif

It`s when somebody asks a question that is clearly answered on a profile and when the recipient of the question says "it`s on my profile" and the questioner answers " I can`t be bothered to read profiles"


Yep .... obviously you missed that !!! it is very annnoying .. that`s why I have a profile , so`s people can read it and not have to ask the same question over and over again !!!

As it happens this was supposed to be a bit of light hearted banter to get minx in here as there aren`t that many posts in the chatroom lounge ... but as usual it has all been taken a bit too seriouisly.


So now I`d have to say that I do get totally pissed off by people who don`t at least try to check out profiles before chatting to someone . Mrs f never chats and never posts .... this is clearly stated in our profile and it takes one click to find out .

If you want to chat without assuming that you are talking to the female of the couple then fair enough but if you want to know CHECK THE PROFILE.. some people may not say ... but hey !!! it`s a good start !!

In all honesty Flower it's sometimes a bit hard to understand what you're trying to say. Fair enough you meant it as a joke and that's good because I like humour icon_wink.gif But when I read it, it came across to me that you were shocked I would say something like that. Maybe if you had used a giggle.gif instead of a icon_eek.gif your intended banter would have come across better ? I simply felt the need to defend my choice of words so that everyone was clear thumbup.gif

I understand where you are coming from with this, I am sure a lot of people have experienced this in the chat rooms at one time or another and it is frustrating, people take the time to create a profile with information on and some dweeb comes along who hasn't bothered to read it, ( I do remember one instance in the room that evening rotflmao.gif ) and tries to launch into a full-on pull icon_confused.gif I am afraid I don't have any easy answer to this dunno.gif

I suppose i`m a bit touchy about all the people who ask who they talking to when me profile says in no uncertain terms !!!

And ,,, I`ll admit for all to see that occasionaly my tolerance to questioning VARIES .. and I`d love to hear from anybody who`s tolerance doesn`t !!
