Speaking of which...

Northumbria Police are running Operation Rodney (the plonkers) targetting boy races in South east Northumberland.
So far, so good, but they're focussing on the beach road between St Mary's and Blyth as well as some car parks in Cramlington. they've ticketed a couple of dozen Rodneys so far, but they'll be around for the next month; radar traps, producers being handed out like lawyers cards ata bus crach, you can imagine the scene...

So if they clear the boy racers away in time for the dark nights we'll all be happy....

I don't mean this to sound racist in any way, but I presume that these people are gangs of angry white youths, who seem to be on the lookout for a target to bully?

The reason I mention this is that from the posts above (especially the "dog hunter" who uses NF [National Front] fronm his avatar) I get the impression that these gangs are the rent-a-mob trouble makers, and NOT the boy racer types who just enjoy hanging round.

Just been reading this thread for the first time and came across Blue's story about Entw. Absolute madness!

I'm glad you told the police about the sad little pricks who turned up to cause trouble. However small that faith may be, we all should have some hope for the police doing the right thing some of the time.

That said, it wouldnt surprise me if they just sent them on their way.

sadly the moment anything bad happens involving a bunch of lads in cars then they are branded boy racers...
people also have the assumption that because there is a cruise or gathering that doggers and other people will get hassled by them. its a misconception but one which the media has helped fuel.

that in turn gives us true car enthusiasts a bad name.

just as im sure doggers get called pervs and freaks etc.

I am a Police Officer and have been for ten years and know all about patrolling, hot spots, crime etc etc etc etc

I have read many posts by people slagging the Police off for various things, but have yet to read one post where anyone has ever got into any serious trouble with the law, except from being spoken to. From other posts you know that some quiet areas obviously attract some undesierable idiots. i.e. the iron bar gang, fireworks, baseball bat need I go on.

I used to be on shift, driving round in the marked car with the big blue lights and sometimes you can be working at night for up to ten/eleven hours. Now that gets boring and sometimes you go and have a look and see what's happening at known locations. You don't think when the cops are sat outside the nightclub at closing time their waiting to see if any trouble happens!!!!!! Of course there looking at the ladies coming out all dressed up!!! A lot of them are like doggers and have a genuine interest in the other sex, whats so wrong with that?

I agree that some officers, normally traffic one's in big cars are obnoxious and can be wankers but you get people like that in every job.

On a positive note most coppers know whats going on and just like taking a peak for themselves during a quiet time.

One point of note, I have personally stopped a car in a lay by in the early hours and the female was in the process of being sexually assaulted after being drugged in a nightclub!

Yeah there are some wankers in the Police but generally we are decent blokes up for a good laugh. If you get stopped by a bloke on his own make a few suggestive comments and see where it gets you. You cannot get arrested for dogging as long as it's not in broad daylight in view of the general public.

Just a quick warning for Bolton doggers..... Satin says they were there tonight and they stopped and searched him - they said they are planning to stamp down on what goes on there .... So, maybe give it a miss for a while and then go back when they get bored

Major problems.
Due to some nutter using a blade to scare some guy in a car, the law were there in force last night.
4 car-loads of force.
One an arv.
After being searched, with the car being emptied, they then decided to breathalyze me and then kept the mouthpice for dna.
I'll be in the warm tonight....along with several others who are also pissed-off with being regarded as public enemy numbers 1, 2 and 3.

What gets me is when you are at a site doing no harm with consenting adults
the police will continue to drive in and out and back again.
Yet should your car get damaged outside your home or you suffer a burglary etc
and you report it you wait hours or days for someone to arrive.
The way crime is on the increase maybe if the police left us alone at our various
sites around the country think of all that man power that could be catching
the real culprits.
And if they are going to continue visiting our dogging sites
at least get rid of the boyracers then there visit has been of some use.

hi went to shirley hills in croydon to night with a lady freind for our 1st bit of dogging we pulled in wasent that busy but dark green saxo came in with only one male visable flashed hes lights at us a couple of time and then slowly headed to the exit we follwed him out when we got out on the road we didnt notice that there was another car black nissan micra following us untill he pulled into a quiet road and two other men popped up in the back of his car and the micra had 4 blokes in it i managed to drive of they follwed but gave up after about 30 mins so beware not sure to try this dogging again unless anyone can recomend any other sites in or near croydon thanks
