Not too sure what I think of the Leicester one - I suppose it's because it's so unusual to have a restaurant in a swinging venue - liked the facilities and the fact that it's part-hotel (if I heard right) but it somehow seemed too much like a business to me ...
Preferred the
Radlett parties more because I thought the couple running it came across much better, and it's easier to get to as well for me

I DO NOT envy them the cleanup afterwards that's for sure

Come on now, guys. There must be someone from here who was on that program. Show yourself!!
Seriously though, I now know where I've been going wrong trying to penetrate (!) the party scene. NO ROAST PIGS! I'm veggie. No pigs in the living room, please. So I guess that's it for me. I'll get my coat.

PS I quite fancy 'Liberation'. Is it very very expensive? (Don't really like chilled Chardonnay anyway.)

Having waited avidly all week for this programme, I was not disappointed at all. Both sets of hosts came across as intelligent, articulate and caring couples who, by taking part in this programme, have actually aided the swinging cause rather than hindered it. The programme was so far removed from the usual 'kiss and tell', Sun-based sensationalism which was very refreshing.
Frankly, I'd be delighted to be invited to Radlett and we're hoping to pay a visit to Liberation in the near future.

I have to say I agree with Sappho. Not a bad programme at all. Now there's a surprise!

I have to say I was very impressed, surprised because I am, but impressed nonetheless.
My only concern is that it's a multi parter. I hope they maintain this level at least throughout.

possibly a vivid imagination . . . but R&J looked strangely familiar????????

maybe i've spent longer in the ads section than i realised
i only saw the last half, and i can't speak from experience, but i thought it was well done and well articulated! bravo!
comments from the fetish couple about the way the scene's changed and become more mainstream . . . . good thing / bad thing / true / untrue???? be interested to know what the "old hands" think??? clearly swinging as an "idea" is more mainstream, but in practice as a lifestyle???

Interesting to hear that, need to check the site out methinks, not sure about eating a full dinner beforehand though, I generally like to have eaten a few hours before and then just have a couple of drinks when there

I thought the program was a good examination of the contemporary swinging scene and explored the subject in a mature way without any sensationalism. Well done to the program makers.
I was most impressed with the club Liberation here in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. I hope I shall be visiting Liberation soon. Maybe I will see you there!

I'm now going to try and re-write what I lost before
I watched the programme and was very impressed. The people were real people and although the interviewer asked a few questions that could have been answered in the (non-swinging) viewers head in a negative way, they gave real answers as we would see them.
I had to laugh at one comment made by the narrator though - in the style of David Attenborough - ""Radlett's the scene of many a roasting, and tonight will be no exception......... the pig has arrived for the buffet"
LIberation was very different from the club scene as I've experienced it so far, but it looks like a fantastic place and is now on my wish list of places to go!!
My only reservation was the involvement of the children in the preparations for the Radlet party. I hasten to add, for those that didn't see it that the children are about 18 and 15, and they are only involved in the party preparations and NOT in the party itself. I suppose I have reservations because I wouldn't tell my children about this particular "lifestyle choice", but that's my choice. At least the couple concerned had a healthy attitude towards it and answer their children's questions honestly. I'm not sure I wholeheartedly agree with their hope that the children will take over the organisation of the parties in the future, but again, that's me looking at it from mine and my childrens' points of view.
All in all, I felt it was a really honest and balanced view of swinging as a whole, and I echo the sentiments that I hope the series will continue to show swinging as a positive thing instead of the mocking that has happened in previous programmes
Here's to channel 5 getting it right for once!

I thought it was quite good. I liked the roast pig line too....very funny!
As for the teenagers taking part in preparing for the evening. I believe they will both grow up with a healthy, safe, attitude towards sex/sexuality and will feel confident about themselves and the choices they make. I'm amazed how many young people I come across thinking and believing sex is dirty and don't have a clue about there own sexual health needs.

ps. maybe I should give this lifestyle ago?

I don't disagree at all. I just don't want to have that conversation with my own children. I certainly don't give my children the impression that sex is something dirty or that it's something that can't be talked freely about, I just don't want to tell them about the in's and out's (literally or otherwise

) of MY sex life.
I don't condemn the couple concerned for telling their kids, I hope I didn't give that impression. As I said (at least in my original post that went AWOL lol), they have a healthy attitude towards talking about it and answering their childrens' questions. If my children asked about swinging in general terms I think I would be honest about it to the extent of explaining what it is and - to a certain degree, depending on their age at the time of asking - what it involves. I just don't necessarily want to tell them that it's something that I do.
It's all about personal choices, and my personal choice is not to give my children that much information about my own sex life. I certainly don't shy away from discussing sex in general at all.
