great programme, as others have said, done in a way that showed the social side rather than the sexual acts. The only thing being spit roast in this programme was the pig!! mmmmm lol

Hi, I’m a lurker- I haven’t filled out my profile to a satisfactory level, and so you can take my opinions based on that understanding. I live in a pretty typical MF relationship- and although I’ve had my moments in my 20’s my partner hasn’t and it would be pushing it to describe either of us as much more than intrigued. Although neither of us are naive.

We watched the program, we’ve discussed the concept of swinging for a number of years, and so had an interest. As an outsider we found the program honest and it seemed to confirm what we imagine the organised ‘swinger’ culture to be. We felt a little intimidated about the ‘superior’ life styles that both parties involved, but certainly the ‘house party’ seemed very down to earth – even if their house was 4 times the size of ours (and I know we leave ourselves open to accusations of being hung up on my cock/tits are bigger than yours by that statement).

I think (as this is Owain talking, not as a couple) that with the internet, the TV channels have to offer something a bit more than titillation that is by law little titillation at all. I think the internet has basically blown the idea of a ‘News of the World’ expose out of the water. Just as it’s not so shocking to have gay neighbours, soon it’ll be unsurprising to have neighbours who define their sexuality in ways that strike us as different- but not as different as to cause us concern.

I think there is a sea change happening, when I can sit with my partner and watch a program (which we wanted to watch) discussing and illustrating a lifestyle (In a way I’m glad they cut the interesting bits) and discuss it in a calm and unshocked manner a certain critical barrier has been reached.

How far that boundary can be pushed back I’m unsure, and I hate the scenario where it snaps back like a gigantic elastic band straight in peoples faces. But I can’t see that happening beyond the boundaries of the tabloids.

I’ve rambled, my apologies, but ultimately I think that this program might be a step in the normalisation of sexuality- however diverse it is.

Hi all, We watched this too as we posted on another message, we found it to be better than most and will watch the others too, the next one looks to have La chambre inluded, which is a very good club up north, we have been and would say its one of the best but a long way for us. If you want to get a good look inside the place go to your local sex shop and buy Rule Brittania's British Swingers pron video, which was filmed there using real guests. Back to the first programme, we think everything has been covered so wont go into that more, we do agree more with one post though about how people present them selves. Richard wheres smart always and Tracy always dreeses to impress in something sexy, you will see what we have on our website, we think it only right to look sexy and smart, but have noticed as swinging becomes less of a taboo people tend to not dress as sexy now? We noticed this at Erotica last year for the first time, Tracy took something very sexy and see through, but nearly everyone else there was wearing what they would wear out shopping in the high street, that dissapointed us a lot. We had hoped to see some sexy people and look sexy ourselves, its even put us off going next time. We need to go to more parties and see if people still make the effort, at health clubs which we go to more we tend to be naked most of the time so its not an issue at those, what does everyone think?

Big G and I made it to the last Erotica and bar running into a few friends, found ourselves somewhat deflated. After paying an extortionate amount for an entrance fee it was just like a market place. I wore a see through nightie, a thong and thigh high boots, and I felt really out of place. There were a few that made an effort, some outrageously and fantastically dressed, but more in jeans and even a few tasty ladies in sweat pants (WTF is that all about!?)

The floor show was lively, but it was just stall after stall of cheap tat, bar a few designer gothic stalls. The highlight of the eveing was catching UKrudegirl dashing around outside posing for some photos. God bless her, it was taters out!

And last comment, i think ive sound a niche in the business market for babysitting for swingers! I have no family close to me and most sitters dont want to babysit until 6am which is when we generally get home after swinging/nightclubbing, so we need more overnight babysitters! Maybe some of us should set up a babysitting circle, in our own areas lol

I only go to clubs when my partner is here, as many of you know, he lives abroad.
I don't feel comfortable going without him so if anyone needs a babysitter desperately..... but not this weekend because we are at the munch!
I usually have flexible plans and I can do my uni work while your children sleep!
PM me if you want to....

Wow, what a generous thought, just goes to show the quality of the ppl in here!! Thanks Fem angel.gif

You're welcome!

I'm looking forward to seeing more about LaChambre after certain recommendations. icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif
You can dress the place up a lot on the internet sites for clubs. Everyone knows certain angles look better than others to make things look bigger etc. eh hem.... swiftly moving on bolt.gif

Just had a review in for Radlett Parties. Don't think I'll add it though icon_wink.gif

Having watched the documentary on Channel 5, I would like to voice my disapproval. You have brought Radlett into disrepute, and you are all clearly utterly unethical and disgusting beings. If you don't want to have manogamy with your partner, get a divorce. Your attempt at 'cashing in' on your sexual promiscuity is not appreciated by fellow members of Radlett who quite frankly feel as if the reputation of their village has been dragged through the mud. After paying fees for these parties, you are effectively engaging in prostitution, which i believe sums up exactly what type of people you are.

Not that I'm trying to stir up a Hornet's Nest icon_biggrin.gif

I'm looking forward to this Thursday's installment. I do hope they don't pull the rug from underneath their first episode!

The next one should be good, La Chambre is a great place, well laid out with plenty of play rooms and a nice big jacussi, plus its well run by nice genuine people. It has also had a porn video shot there, made by Rule brittania called Real british swingers, they used some of the members of the club to make the film. We have been and we liked it a lot it just too far away from us to enjoy it as much as we would like.Take a look at their website before watching the show.

Hi all

Stumbled on this forum by accident and boy we're glad we did. We were involved with the Real Wife Swaps documentary, due to be screened 2nd September, 10:30 channel 5. Landmark films took us and two other couples to Peyraille,a swinging hotel in the Pyrenees region of France. The holiday was great and we made some great friends in the two other couples that went out there with us. We did have a few gripes with the hotelier though, and as you will see in the film, he runs the place somewhat like a bootcamp (look at the size of his rule book!!!). Our attitude was that we went out there for fun and to relax and anything else that happened was a bonus, the last thing we wanted was a bible of rules!!. We did end up, as you will see, swinging with one of the couples, who were complete novices and have stayed in touch and swung with them since.

We did all agree, on departing, that the place was great, the food was good but it required different management, someone who was more interested in swinging than money making, that would have made the holiday perfect for us. We didnt mind the cameras following us around, hey, it was a free holiday, and a small price to pay!

Best Wishes

Donna & Rich x x x

Well, if that episode doesn't fuel people's stereotypes... !! Although I have to say, much respect to all who took part this week - very honest, highly liberated people, especially Viv.

I watched tonight's episode only 'cos I heard La Chambre would be featured and I wanted to sit in front of the telly, saying out loud to no one but my four walls "Oh I've been there!"
I delibrately didnt watch last week's programme because I assumed it would be a horrid stereotypical misrepresentation of what I know of the scene and I would just end up being very cross and agitated with the show's makers.
Donna and Rich - I will look forward to your episode. My friend and I considered the swinging hotel in France - I'm assuming it's the same place.

What we noticed is that they arent putting across the social side to it all, that its about friendship as much as anything else! icon_confused.gif

We saw this last night and thought it was the best of its type so far. However, we wonder how many friends will think "that sounds like XXXXXX" when they here that couple say "Kids - no way! Keep a dog and retire early!" icon_wink.gif

One thing though - the show seemed to be about sex, sex and sex.

We've only been to chams twice, and off to Utopia shortly - but as yet have only played together, but (at least for foreseeable future) are only interested in "soft play" and not full sex.

Now either this is rare or not acceptable at parties, or the show is biased.... Our only concern is explaining our limits when the time comes without the other party being bored.... Perhaps thats missing, as "swinging" isn't *actually* all about full-sex-swapping?

Is it?

No, I don't think it is necessarily. Some people call it 'soft swing', and quite a few on here specify same room fun with own partners only. OK, so we've never actually done soft swing, but we've been in situations where others are just going for it while watching. I didn't see a dividing line where on our side the notice said 'real swingers' and on theirs it said 'non swingers' icon_rolleyes.gif

As for last night's episode, I have to agree that it only showed one particular side of it. We all know that it has a BIG social side, and isn't all about just getting your rocks off (although that is a big part of it). I was a little disappointed with it to be honest, but it's still all good stuff... last week's episode was better though, even though this weeks included La Chambre icon_wink.gif

For the record, as far as I could work out, the following clubs were mentioned this week:-

La Chambre

Honeycomb Club

Partyzone

Onwards to France for next week then icon_smile.gif

If you were interested in any of the clubs you saw on the programme last night, then perhaps you could start by getting in touch with them (links above), or by checking out the clubs and parties section on here for others in your area. Before we first went to La Chambre we phoned them about 3 times, asking all sorts of things like, how many people go, what usually happens, etc. etc. and they were extremely helpful over the phone (and honest!). So you could do a lot worse than getting in touch with the organisers of clubs and parties, asking them any questions you have concerns about.

Also, if you've never done anything like this before perhaps you could take a little look at the questionnaire here. It's not perfect by any means, but it's food for thought at least.
