Dear Humans,

I must say after last nights Channel 5 Documentary of what I seen the last 20 minutes it was very positive. It showed that no matter what age a person is we are all horny & have every right to express it as long as parents don’t do it openly in front of their children. As I wouldn’t like my parents talking about aspects of their Sexual Life & am sure that they don’t want to know this Dragon’s blazing dreams.

The older couple seemed made up especially the lady’s look when the young man with the ‘buns of steel’ gave her a goodbye kiss & went downstairs.

We live in this almost ‘fascist’ society that is obsessed about trying to achieve looking like Britney Spears or Brad Pitt. I must say that I liked the fact the way the lady had a large backside & was wearing a thong. It was a very good look.

The club in Sheffield looks amazing & I’ll try to get down their but I think after the documentary it will be a lock out for the next few months. The Channel 5 documentary was well better than that American stupidity that was on Channel 4 recently.

That all folks.

Hiyas all again!

Couldnt agree more about the social aspect of swinging, which, when you watch next thursdays episode im sure you will see. Watch for the hoteliers "typical brits" comment about us sitting by the pool drinking beer.... Ummmmm, we all thought we were socialising... but hey!!

Anyone thinking of going there.... Well, like i said in my previous post, its a nice place, but a few changes could do with being madeits a 19th century french farm house, not totally finished, surrounded by the odd cement mixer and piles of rubbish, close your eyes as you drive up the driveway!!

Anyway, could sit and ramble on. We DID have a good time and there were more highs than lows, but like any holiday, its what you make it!

Here's what the TV guide says about next weeks third and final episode

22:30 Real Wife Swaps
Three couples enjoy a break at a swinging resort in the Pyrenees, but conflicts between each other and their genial hosts may disrupt the promised sexual shenanigans. Last in series

Very much agree

Have to very much agree with what Clare said here icon_smile.gif .Contrary to popular believe we are not all in it just for the pure sex side of things as we to believe the social/friendship side is (to us ) just as important.

Getting back to the programe though, they seemed to have missed what the majority of swingers (soft or full) actually do, and that is hook up through great sites like this and swing in the comfort of their own homes.

Not all of us attend clubs and large parties and not all of us would like to attend such venues as a lot of people would seem to assume that if you go to such clubs etc you are then just going for the sex . Why pay for the privilage of going to a club just to sit there like lemons hoping to meet new friends? You don't , one goes to these places in the anticipation of getting sex otherwise what would be the point of forking out the cost of the admission ?

I believe he said it was Loot which surprised me a bit, still, I only ever looked in Loot when I was renting so I guess things may have changed ... to be honest, I thought he was a bit of a dweeb [though the girl he met through the ad was lovely] and this particular episode seemed to be a bit more salacious than the last one somehow. Possibly because as has been said, they didn't really cover the social side of it.

They must have filmed the stuff in La Chambre when the club was closed as it seemed unusually empty and when the older couple were leaving, it was daylight.

Yes, he started with Loot, but he struck lucky online, there was a brief shot of a part of his ad. Would love to know which site it was.

Whenever anything like TV or press go to the club, they have to film outside of opening hours and inform everyone that the cameras will be there and get their consent to be filmed, normally in the form of a disclaimer, hence several of the guests on the first episode being blurred out, as obviously they didnt want to be filmed. Imagine trying to film in L.C on a busy saturday night, i would say 95% of the folk there wouldnt want to be seen on TV.

I do respect the fact that this production company has respected everyones right to privacy and only filmed those that were willing to be seen on national television and not those that weren't. At the very least, people can go to La Chambre and know that when they walk in there that they aren't going to be met by TV cameras and show up on Channel 5 or any other TV channel

Yes your right about having to sign a disclaimer but I am not sure if it is completely and absolutely a requirement of law to get it signed just to show you on TV in general. I would expect them to do this in a private environment such as a swingers club. With Granada whenever they have been filming in "The Village" and anyone who is filmed actually speaks on film then they do get a signature but you don’t have to give your name or anything else, as I say just a signature. It can be any signature, so I don’t think it is that important or so it seems. When I appeared on an episode of "Sex In The Village" ITV Granada, I didn’t give my name and just signed the form as “JudyTV” and nothing else. I inquired if everyone else had to sign too and she said no it’s because you have spoken on film so they only need to sign if they talk. I recall several other Tranny's who were shown dancing in “Thompson’s Arms” later that night who didn’t sign at all. I am sure there must be a law graduate among us who will be able to cover the legalities and personal rights of appearing on Television, it’s an interesting thought. I also did a interview with Radio Five Live about a year ago regarding Transgender safety and I didn’t sign anything at all again I was introduced by my fem name but my voice was recognisable. Anyway it would have been pointless doing the interview if I hadn’t wanted it to go out. I have a feeling it may all be a bit of a grey area and in most cases people know the cameras are present and perhaps it’s up to the individual to ask not to be shown. It would be interesting to know the legal requirements but in my case it’s purely academic as I don’t think I would be recognised if I was seen 'en femme' anyway. I do however think it is important to protect people’s privacy in all cases if its required. I doubt that the press would ask for signatures or anything else, I have a feeling they would just publish it and say sod it.

Hi after alerting everybody to the first episode i had to work during the second. My video recorder then promptly broke down.

It may be a long shot but does anybody have a copy of this on video they can either sell me or lend me to copy myself. All expenses incurred by the lovely person involved will be paid.
Thank you in advance to anyone that can help

Well, well..... the single swinging guy, Trevor, from last weeks episode has sold his story to the Sunday papers - well, the Sunday Sport actually icon_confused.gif

The party he attended banned cams, but he can exclusively disclose that he got 6 BJs, 4 handjobs, a threesome and a Belgian biscuit in just two hours!!!! He went on to say that he saw a woman having sex in a swimming pool while two other girls held her arms icon_eek.gif , and he joined in with an orgy icon_eek.gif ....

Looks like he had a good night then icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

Now.... they should see what real swingers get up to of a weekend icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif icon_twisted.gif

What is a Belgian biscuit BTW icon_eek.gif ?

We have just read through this whole thread, wow! you lot can sure type a lot.... icon_eek.gif

We were in the chat room at the same time as the second "Real Wife Swaps" was aired, and one thing that came up was that the "Horny French Bird" in question is in fact a "Working French Girl" in that she is a professional porn model. The line about her needing to find a guy to go to a party with is total bollox, has ANYONE every heard of a couples party that wouldnt let single girls in? Plus if it was strictly couples only, how come there were 117 people there? lol

As for numbers of people involved in swinging, we have seen similar studies before, and found this

"An analysis of couples advertising in Desire Contact magazine, Britain's leading swingers contact publication, found an average age of 43 (men 45, women 41) with only 15% over 50, 26% under 40 and 59% in their 40s. The Guardian has suggested there are between 500,000 and 1m swingers in the UK. The Internet has vectored this minor social revolution."
( source : http://www.libertarian.co.uk/lapubs/socin/socin028.htm , Related To Bigotry: The Repression of Swingers in Early 21st Century Britain by Mark Roberts )

As for the 70% of the population line.... guess 50% of people are male, so thares a starting point! lol

Looking forward to next weeks program, hopefully it will be more positive like the 1st episode was

My fave bit from last weeks show was when the Blackpool couple told how the police lady sunk her teeth into his arse. At which point he made a swift exit bolt.gif

We have to bear in mind that this is Television and they are primarily there to make entertainment programmes more importantly this is Chanel5 and not the BBC, whilst I am in no way indicating that they would tell outright lies, I 'm also not naive enough to know they will certainly assist people in bending and stretching scenarios and situations. It has been known in the past for Television interviewers to suggest situations and even help the person to actually invent interesting events in certain interviews. Like I say they will never themselves tell outright lies, they allow you and me to do that for them. The media, whether it be press Television or any form of entertainment program are there to get bums on seats and they don't really care how they do it just as long as it is within budget.

Television is a wonderful thing, they even have some of the population thinking that Coronation Street is real. Hayley Cropper/Patterson gets letters and e-mails on a daily basis telling her how wonderful and strong she is to have had GRS surgery and how lucky she is to have a supporting husband like Roy.
If you let your guard down Television and the press will carve you up like a Christmas Turkey. I know I have seen it happen.

We have to observe a balance here of what is in fact truth and reality and what is good television. Good television to you and me does not necessarily have the same definition in the program makers eyes. Personally I love television but I am constantly saying to myself "Viewer beware". It isn't real unless you are there yourself to prove it, if nothing else I am a realist in my head and a romantic in my heart. I love flowers, red wine and chocolate and I believe in love, commitment and family loyalty, Whilst I constantly watch it, television comes a lot further down my list of realities.

Excellent entertainment though icon_razz.gif .

JudyTV..... the eternal optimistic pessimist...... what a contradiction icon_wink.gif

I don't think they did themselves any favours with that "kiss n tell". Who would want to play with them now knowing they could be flamed on national TV in the next swingers expose.
If it is a true story, I wonder how the other couple feel having seen themselves demeaned on TV?
