I thought mention of alternate sites in open chat or posting email addy's was against the AUP icon_question.gif

Absolutely right. thumbup.gif If I see an email addy in the room, the room will be cleared without warning. Very annoying if you've just got a message aimed for you. Then I will check out if the person who posted it in the room has done this before and then deal with them accordingly. icon_evil.gif

As for my personal view, I'd only ever, ever, ever give my MSN address out to people I've talked to for a long time and feel I can trust........ and I've still been stung and had to block people.
Just be honest with folks and maybe ask them why they want your MSN address when they can PM/chat to you through the site. That way if they do start to become a nuisance at least there's someone you can turn to (ie site admin) for some help. icon_wink.gif

yep, same here. I've added ppl to msn b4 who I've not got to know first and had to block them. But then, you get asked if u have msn. My reply would be something along the lines of "Yes we do have msn but I dont like to give it out willy-nilly. I like to get to know ppl b4 I add them. Plus we hardly ever use it anyway". Then they go off in a huff icon_mad.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

I give in, sometimes to avoid this I occasionally say "No, we dont have msn" just to avoid the strops icon_lol.gif

I've spent ages defending single guys, but this sort of thing is just uncalled for.

I'm really sorry you've had this experience, but there are some decent guys out there. No really! It just seems they're a dying breed.

why do guys always want to drag us out of chat rooms onto msn? can chat just as easily here (and cam as well)
seems to me its just so they can pop on your screen to pester every time we log in. best one was message saying you shagging tonight then ?when my son was on pc. just spent 20 mins blocking.will be reluctant to use the email adress that lets them add us in future.

icon_eek.gif I`m sorry !!! You let your son use a pc that has an MSN address signed in that you use to talk to people on sex sites ??? icon_eek.gif

Both Mrs f and myself set up new email addresses when we first started using swinging sites. The addresses are not openly stored on the computer and They would definately NOT automatically sign into MSN when the comp is switched on.

I would never ever give my normal email address to anybody I had met in any chatroom let alone a sex site.

I just assumed this was common practice. Am I the only person that is surprised by this ??

Thats a very valid point, but do you always sign out when you pop to the toilet etc? its very easy to forget you are signed in to these services, for all you know they also have a seperate msn that isn't stored on the pc either, but that still doesn't help if you forget to log out or leave it unattended for a minute or so as thats all it takes.

easy solution .. create a password protected user accounts on your pc, and lock your account everytime you leave the pc for washroom visit etc. "ctrl-alt-del + enter" and it will lock your account - simple! when you return to the pc, enter the password and off you go again. if you are away for a longer period, others can still use the pc but not have any visibility or access to your account to see all sorts of naughty messages there.

When I have guests over and they need to use the pc, I have 1 any user open account for guests. that way they do not have visibility to any of my bookmarks, msn, etc etc esp most of those are on auto login.
