Dear all
I've just been looking at this in view of the rather hideous credit card bill I received today, and that my car has to be MOT'd around then (I finally found the paperwork amongst some pervy paperwork in a locked briefcase - yes I am truly that atrocious at being organised) and that I'm still wanting to do the World Naked Bike Ride that day (first train up after it arrives at 2152 hours).
If I get the train from home will cost me £81.20 return, if I drive based on what I think unleaded will cost by then, £80.14.
Before I add on money for dinner, boozing and hotel.
Plus my parents keep on at me to go visit them or they to come to stay, I'm running out of excuses asto where I am (at the end of a 12 consecutive out every Saturday run).
So in short, I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make this.
If it's any consolation I'll be seeing most of you at Oxford, and those who aren't going to oxford are either :
a) less than an hour from here so if you really wanted to see me you could invite me over for a cup of tea
or b) in Manchester and I can by booking in advance have a weekend there for £50 or so (though I was there the other week ffs)

I sincerely hope so - 2008 is supposed to be my year of less mental social attending and more meeting people for cups of tea - it's not working out very well so far though.
