Yes you can Nola. From the Toolbar in Powepoint....

Click Insert
Click Picture
Click From File
Locate your picture and select it
Resize it to fit the presentation accordingly
Then back to the Toolbar
Click Insert
Click Text Box
Draw Text Box and then add your text as normal

I have a HP thinclient which I have installed with minty linux as a persistent installation on a usb flash drive. All is well except the video is not up to much. If i install the video driver as supported by via for the vx800 motherboard, all goes as expected except the driver does not appear in the list of hardware drivers. I have tried the auto debian installer as well as command line.
Any ideas?

I was going to suggest he just pushes it in a bit further and wiggles it about a bit dunno.gif lol2.gif

probably no help whatsoever but....

Is it Compaq???

Cos...

t5125 Thin Client
VIA Eden 400 MHz
Maximum video resolution is
1280x1024, 24 bit @ 85 Hz

t5520 Thin Client
VIA Eden 800 MHz
Maximum video resolution is
1280x1024, 32 bit @ 85 Hz

Also google tells me that it is important to cross-reference the supported video resolutions of the HP Compaq thin client to the supported resolutions of the monitor. Most HP monitors have one or more supported resolutions that match HP Compaq thin client products.

Do I get a star or was I no use whatsoever? lol2.gif

Help!

There's something wrong with my laptop... it just randomly switches itself off. There's no warning... it just turns off. Turns back on okay but lasts about 10 minutes and then turns off.

And yes... it's plugged in! icon_wink.gif

Anyone got any ideas? dunno.gif

Does it do it all the time DG, or mostly when you're say, in bed or on the sofa with it? Most likely cause is it's cutting out to protect the chips because they're overheating, often caused by using it on carpet, duvets, other materials that prevent airflow in. Try it on a table top or somewhere well ventilated and see if it still does it?
