Multicam Chat

Can I say that I think this is a pain in the back side, particularly in busy rooms.

I'd agree... the text doesn't reach right across the page either.

i agree i keep missing half the chat especially seen as the chat window has been halved due to the size of the cam windows

I like it - the new cams and the new layout, spacing, font, emoticon size etc

It's just change and this is a 'normal'/typical reaction to it - people will have forgotten what 'old' Chat looked like in a few weeks If any of you have ever come across 'Who Moved My Cheese?' you'll know what I mean. If not, Google it and see what you you find It should be a story about a mouse that goes to exactly the same place each day to find his cheese and one days he goes and it ain't there any more. But he chooses to keep going back to the same place and gets very, very hungry. One of the other mice starts to explore new places and find new ways of getting cheese and doing things - he finds a different kind of cheese but it's just as good.. and he fills his boots.

I remember that there was exactly the same kind of backlash last time it changed and that was all forgotten very quickly.

Chill and go with the flow - it will change and change again in the future, and then again - everything evolves, otherwise it would become extinct... it's hardly 'life or death' stuff is it?

i agree to a certain extent that the chat room need to evolve.. but as with anything some people will like it and some people wont, the new chat still has issues but possibly the site could adjust it and improve it...

the disable whispers ? it stops all whispers.. what about my friends that whisper..?? i dont want to ignore them... be better if u had an "ignore user" button so u can choose who u want to stop whispers from...

Multi cams ? maybe a choice on a button how many cams u want to display.. 2 or 4 etc..

Line spacing? well i dunno really that just seems like its there for the sake of it..lol

Lag ? well i know im not the only one with this issue... the new multicams cause an enormous amout of data lag.. to the extent where it almost stops..

my thoughts written down....

overall its hardly the end of the world... but at the end of the day.. its the members that pay for the site without the paying member the site would collapse so try listening to us too.........

I also agree that the chat room should be allowed to evolve, and let's hope Admin can iron the issues out

But i dont want to look at half a screen of uninvited whispers all with their own perculiar comments and suggestions as to what i should be doing, nor do i want to stop friends from being able to whisper.

I`m saying that if somebody is whispering you to the point where it is causing you a real problem, you should report them.

Constantly pasting whispers in the room because you are incapable of ignoring them is extremely annoying for other chatters and is the height of bad manners.

I used to use a room on a regular basis but found it so full of people constantly trying to score points by belittling others, especially whisperers, that I ended up moving on. It was a shame cos it used to be a nice room but was spoiled by bad manners.

And you don`t think it`s petty to spoil everybody elses enjoyment of the chat facility by copying your private arguments all over the room ??
