How about: -

1) Profile - Ones that appear on you're profile (Obviously)

2) Private - Ones that you have to invite people to see

3) Friends - For your friends list to see

None of the above will feature in the Public Gallery unless you tick a box that gives permission for them to be public, that way people can make public any of their pictures or not as the case may be.

The automatic setting should be set at not for Public Gallery so people choose to opt into it rather then opt out, as I dont think many people realise their pictures are actually going into the gallery at the moment!

Sorry to rant, but how come, even after I have tagged them are they still asking to be tagged!

I had a line on my profile explaining that I didn't want my pics tagged by strangers, and I got grief for it!

I tagged my own, but they are still asking to be tagged......come on, play fair.....

Sorry if this has been done to death but this does not make swinging fun for me...

I noticed tonight that you can no longer have pics that are neither public or private. you used to be able to have ones that you could send in mail messages that were completely private.... thats were are face pic was... we'd like this option back too....

So aside from the moderator love-in

would Admin care to comment on mexy's observation, i.e. that once pics have been self-tagged, they can still be modified by other viewers?

my guess is you CAN tag them, but it won't have any bearing on the pics, as the "self tag" still will trump whatever you've tagged them as.

it still doesn't solve the problem, as it still means "more work" for whoever feels like tagging pics other than one's own.
