I don't understand what the issue is icon_confused.gif

Create a jpeg of the map, upload it to a host, imageshak type thing, copy the link in to your pms.

You have complete control over when and who see it.

Adding it to your collections of pictures on site, even in a private gallery, means that if you allow anyone to view it, you don't know when they might turn up on your door step.

So if you have decided not to make arrangements, they might be completely pissed off with you and they'd know where you lived icon_confused.gif

Its an office with lots of brown desks and if you are lucky, you can use the hot drinks machine and fridge. Its nothing to get excited over lol2.gif lol2.gif

One other point that might help clear up the "appropriateness" of uploading maps etc:

Only this week I had to decline submissions giving pictorial directions to a "secret" dogging site. I know it's not quite the same thing but - in principal - if one member is allowed to upload maps then it sets a precedent that other members will abuse. icon_wink.gif

A good alternative and one I never thought of so thanks. As for people turning up on our doorstep the map doesn't go that far. It takes them to our part of the street. They'd have the choice of a lot of doors to knock on. I did say we intended on making the pic private but I suppose admin would have no guarantee that we'd stick to that.
Never mind. It was just something that we thought would help people to find us. It's not a major problem there's a lot more important things to worry about icon_wink.gif

As far as I'm aware the pics get looked at by a member who has earned the right to become a moderater. Yes I said EARNED. However everyone's interpretation of things are slightly different on occasions. For example. We uploaded pics not to long ago which had people in the background. The people in the background had there faces blotted out along with any identifiable features (tats etc). When first uploaded they were refused. I thought that this was a mistake and that maybe a MOD was being overly strict with the AUP about photos so I simply tried to upload them again. I can only assume that a different MOD looked at the pics the second time as they were accepted and are still on our profile today.
So I think the point I'm making is that allthough a MOD may make a decision it doesn't necesarily make it a correct one and second it doesn't necesarily make it final. As HnS as said they will bring it up Tuesday to admin (thanks HnS). Fair enough the decision may not be changed, so be it.

Mentioned to the Boss and one of the developers, it's something that they are actually looking at adding a link to some mapping software as an option (albet with some restrictions so as to keep private) to some of the screens, however in the mean time think you've had a couple of working suggestions.
