23/08/10 - Cameras continuing to work after user has left for another room.
The above is also the same for a viewer, I can view a cam, change rooms and take that persons live cam with me to a totally different room without their knowledge.

Added bug with regards to the popout not working properly.
cuckiecpl - Could you test again for me, if this is still could you send me a PM and i'll try to diagnose why.
With regards to frozen animations - not much we can do about that one i don't think, they're simply animated gif's, if they got stuck its a browser display issue, maybe... never seen it happen before

Cheers Elliot - yes, was a local issue here F5 cleared it.
Profiles not working in beta chat

I am unable to view profiles in the beta chat. Running IE8 Windows xp pro. When I click on profile a new web page opens initially loading profile then reverts to login page. Have cleared history and cache, tried loading from desktop and main site all to no avail.

In existing/old chat, a profile could be in a room on server 1 and then also log into chat again and either stay in the Beach Bar or access another room also on server 1
(obviously can't have same profile in one room twice)
In the new/Beta chat, it doesn't seem possible to create a room and then open a new chat session so as to be in The Pool and a Room at the same time.
(When we try, the new session always 'cancels' the old session)
Is this a :
- limitation within the Beta chat test server
- limitation of the new Chat itself
- limit set against a profile using Beta chat test server
Please note it's still possible to have 1 beta chat session running and multiple existing chat sessions

First post updated with new fixes. Note if you use the desktop version you need to relaunch through the site to get the latest version, not through your desktop shortcut.
HnS - We always intended for users to get in the chat once, but we couldn't do this on the last chat due to a technical limitation, but with this one we can.
However, we do have the ability to let a user sit in several rooms at once in the same chat (you will have a tab per room), and we will be looking to follow up with this feature shortly after we launch version 1.

Are end users "Chat Room Settings" stored locally or at the SH server level ?
Looking at them, whenever I come back into Beta I have the following settings
- Play Sounds Chat = Off Whispers = On
- Show Whispers defaults to "In separate tabs"
- Cameras = small
- Camera quality = medium
- font size = medium
Of these I've changed them all since first starting using Beta chat, however whilst every one seems to stay set at what I've set from session to session, one doesn't. Namely Cameras, which always defauslts to medium for every session and has to be reset to small.
Could this be changed so that for each session the camera value = small rather than medium ?
Alternatively, could we be smarter ?
As 'ordinary' users are limited to 2 cams, then ok top default to medium, whilst for 'extras' users to default to small ?
(Irrespective of which PC/laptop used manually resizing to small so as to get 5 cameras on screen is getting irritating)

If you are using both the IM and the new Chat - any messages on the IM appear as 'whisper' windows in the main chat in the highlighted 'yellow'. Is it possible to distinguish these in another colour (and a msg - You have an IM Message') - it's really confusing to think someone is whispering you going into the window and seeing a 'blank screen'.?

When setting a text colour (blue) in the main room - when you whisper it defaults back to standard (black)..

It would be nice to change the icon colours in the members list from pastel colours to something a bit more defined, 1 in 5 men are colour blind so cannot easily tell the difference betweent the male and female figures.

HnS - Once we do the settings properly they will be stored SH side so will follow you around and remember all settings, i won't put this in the bug list now as it will be in for version 1.1.
With regards to the bug not remembering the colour between tabs - this is for the same reason as above, so will be fixed all in one hit.
jonojones - thats a very good point and we're always willing to work on accessibility. I believe we will end up with a 'high contrast' option for the chat, where users have the choice to view it in different colours.

From some testing so far, if a profile is kicked from a room they seem to end up back in The Pool.
What's the chance of changing the 'code' so that when kicked they end up at the Chat T&Cs page, http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/chatroom/user-rules.html ?
Also, that when 'kicked' the sytem generates an auto-raised 'abuse' report for OPS/Admin, bit like when a 'report profile' is raised ?
(Obviously would just say profile, time, and room details)
