I think this woman getting death threats is way way over the top, and I hope the police can find these people and prosecute them too.
Maybe the frenzy surrounding this case is over the top, but she is certainly getting some pay back for it.
I bet the next thing we will hear is that she has some for of depression or similar disorder,which her lawyer will use as some kind of excuse.
I have watched the video a few times now and she was calm about the whole thing. Nothing wrong with her at all other than the fact she was doing something that most people would find awful.

France's strict privacy laws would make is somewhat suspect here (unless its the State of course
).
All TV coverage blurs out the faces of "passers by" and, interestingly, camera shots are always "back to front".

Yes, a valid point - this is the sort of thing you would expect from a child below the age of criminal responsibility. I think she should have been arrested and been made subject to a compulsory mental health assessment so the authorities could make the correct steps forward.
This raises another problem, to do that the Police would ideally be involved and in this country we still have this rather quaint system of the RSPCA dealing with animal cruelty as a "quasi" police force supported by charitable donations - a typical British situation dating back to a bygone age.
