Let's not be silly Rob if humour was either the point or present in most of the comments aimed at Ben he would I feel sure take them in the spirit they were meant...we all know that some people here are intent on shouting down any opposition with absolutely no intent to debate in an adult manner.....sometimes even a childish manner would be refreshing

Well I'll say it again then, i really did mean the comment i made about joining the AA in good humour. I make daft jokes sometimes. I'm still sorry and rather surprised it caused offence.

i did see what i thought was a couple of humorous remarks quite often humour is mistaken for sarcasm on here
but too often it seems you have to be on one side or the other i proved this when i got two people to argue there own point a while back
ive had some adult debates with you and others on here all enjoyable
but all to often ben makes rod for his own back and you know it by the fact he refuses to answer some challenges

treat as you find is something i believe in

The thing is Rob I can remember a time (not too long ago)when Ben was far more active in this forum and when his posts were longer more detailed and most would think more reasoned (not sure I agree with that,I rarely struggle to see his point)...the problem is that certain members, one in particular who shall remain nameless, have decided that Ben is an old hippy and as such knows nothing about anything,wether Ben is an old hippy or not is irrelevant his views are as valid as yours mine or even Kennys'....it is the trite dismissal of his or anyone elses views with no attempt to answer that will kill this forum....I know of one member not far from this keyboard who is thinking that the membership fee would be better spent in the pub, where I can at least hear some imaginative insults

If people make ridiculous statements then they leave themselves wide open on here, they know it and everyone else does too.

I get sick to the back teeth if honest over anything talked about on here, that is even ever so slightly right wing, and I mean a tad.

The " hatred " word and the " offense " word are bounded about anytime something slightly contentious is even muttered.

If people are really that bothered by the comments people make on here, or aimed at any one particular person, then maybe they should look for something that suits them a bit better.dunno.gif

This forum is not about any one person, but about all views about almost any subject.

Some people do not like my threads, am I really that bothered? Most of the threads I do have the most pages attached to them, so that must say something? You either love em or hate em, but ya cannot ignore them. icon_lol.gif

What a dull fucking world it would be if everyone was a lefty tree hugger ( humour there for anyone to see ) icon_lol.gif it takes all sorts to make a forum...I suggest people admit to that fact or just move on.

It is rarely the comment that bothers me but usually the disrespect for a different opinion that it carries...if you disagree with the point being made answer it with what you believe to be the valid alternative

I am certainly not the only one and to be honest I have had very few threads locked. The threads I have started that were locked were invariably locked because of others comments.

You without doubt only see what YOU want to see. I am usually the first am I?

YOU showed your true colours in another thread recently, and you have the nerve to accuse me of lapsing into abuse..............jeeze.

I will not bother answering any of your other points, as they hold no substance I am afraid.

If you or anyone else dislike my threads then keep away from them, nobody is forcing you or anyone else to post in them.

Until such time when the powers that be on here tell me to stop, then I will continue posting what I believe to be correct.

Now on that point I think enough has already been said away from the original topic, so unless you want to continue this via pm to give everyone a break,I bid you farewell.
