So far the reports I have read on the post mortems which have taken place have been inconclusive, but do say that they have ruled out, starvation, poisoning, viruses or bacteria . Blunt trauma has been one result from Alaska.
There was a very interesting program on the Discovery channel recently about our current week magnetic poles and the problems this can cause migrating birds as they use the magnetic poles to navigate. I find it very interesting and fascinating. The poles have switched before and probably will again.
