As it seems to be moan time I thought I would hit you with my favourite of the moment. People who park illegally in blue badge holder bays. Before I got my blue badge I was always respectful of these bays and never parked in them. Now however I notice time after time the number of people who either use them without a blue badge or use them whilst displaying a blue badge, but illegally. Instance: lone drivers who leave their cars at a run or skip who are certainly not disabled in any way. Most people don't seem to realise that they can only use a blue badge if the person it is allocated to is in the car and intends leaving the car. You can't use it for instance if you are doing some shopping for a disabled person. Blue badges are issued for people who have difficulty walking and/or getting in and out of cars. Both true in my case. This is why there is extra space in a disabled bay, to enable the door to be opened as widely as possible. Of course I can use my badge in a normal parking bay but often these are too narrow to allow me exit and access to the car.
Ok moan over! Feel free to add your own pet moan here. It doesn't solve anything but might make you feel better.

Is this not what the steam room is for?
I know what you mean though, we have a blue badge for our daughter, and whilst she is fit now (and we do use it less) she tires very quickly and can be in some pain at times. Upon leaving the car she looks, as she is, a healthy 13 year old, but 4 years of chemo, radio therapy and a bone marrow transplant a year ago means she often looks well, but underlying problems aren't apparent.
On the opposite side of the coin, I detest blue badge drivers who think because they have a blue badge it means they can park outside of the law, ie on double yellows. I know that there is despensation in the law re this but double yellows are usually a sign that it could cause an obstruction, could be dangerous to park there etc and yet some blue badge holders conveniently forget this fact, if it means they can get as close to the shop as possible, sod anyone elses safety or convenience
six of one .....
I agree ... people that park when they shouldn`t are beyond redemption to me !!!
Do take into account the people that sometimes take people shopping tho .... Mrs f takes a disabled couple shopping every week ....they are fiercely independant and like to shop around the supermarket without her help !!
This means that she is sometimes parked in a disabled area to save them having to walk but looks like she is taking the piss !!!
So not all people who are parked in the disabled spaces are taking the piss ....they may well be helping people who wish to retain a modicum of independance ...
The rest of em are tossers ![]()
Flower if Mrs F is taking disabled people shopping then she is not using the badge illegally. I also understand that I can park on single yellow lines for 3 hours only but never double yellow lines so anyone who is parked on double yellows should be removed blue badge or not.
sorry, i read it as taking a piss, not taking THE piss. i must be tired
