Just got back from Berlin...
Previously I have found Germany to be quite an openly sexual place, especially Hamburg, but I never thought much of Berlin for
that scene. I have been very mildly surprised by my latest visit though.
We visited the Bete Uhrser museum of sex, or more rightly the history of the sex aid industry. This also incorporates the usual (for Germany) video booths and darkened cinema.
The place did seem full of men of variying quality who did tend to look at you as if they were working out which hole to use first. This kind of wierded out my GF (and me) so we didn't poke around too much further. They have a cafe, some form of darkened cruising venue, booths and a cinema. There was much nicer places in Hamburg offering this stuff, but if you do happen to be in Berlin, the sex museum and cruising spot is right in the centre of the main high street near the zoo garden. I would probably having given this place a higher rating if we had stayed, but it is rather intimidating to start with, may be different at night!!
If you do happen to be a gay or curious man, there are many sex shops/ saunas/ cruising venues in Hamburg and they are all in one place. Its seedy as hell, but you can at least be a voyer without any bother, and test the water. And a lot safer than hanging out on wimbledon common. For the ultimate curious experience I would of course recommend many of the fine men on this site (and the women too
)
