makes a change to hear a public service anouncement thats sensible and helpful
keep up the good work

Dont know if its any help but there was a site I came across that let you set up your own dogging scene to invite forneds and others. Cant remember the name, but it was via SMS text messages. I think there was one number that you could send a text message to via your mobile phone and then everyone who subscribed to it got an sms alert - might be wrong.
I dont think we can post links here anyway, so if anyone is interest PM me and I'll try to find it.

These so called text "services" are a rip off. DO NOT subscribe to these "services" unless you are completely stupid.
Doggin, do not publicise these "services" on here, Ta.

And what does that have to do with the policy on dogging posts

Im in total agreement on this one,
but havent we created a monster by our own doing,
by advertising dogging locations across the UK to any Tom, Dick & Harry
under the DOGGING LOCATIONS SECTION.
Is it me or dosnt this seem a little bit silly.

You've missed the point - it's about posting EXACT locations, not general ones. For instance if there is a dogging site called (and I'm making this name up) White Lane Woods - the woods could be huge, but if you wrote 'I'll be at the picnic site at the west carpark of White Lane Woods tonight' then we'd zap your post.
The clue is in the very first sentence Blue wrote:

If they didn't get the locations from here then the trouble makers would just go on any other of the numerous dogging websites to get them, I find that most of the true doggers find out about locations from other fellow doggers they meet, word of mouth telling you to try a place because it was an excellent night last night etc.
Broadcasting a meet on any forum has always been asking for trouble and I think it's an excellent step to remove posts that give out exact times and locations.
I remember reading a post a few years back on a forum of a couple arranging a meet in a certain car park, I turned up as it was local to me and the place was heaving with doggers and just this poor couple by themselves, to top it all off within half hour of the advertised time the cops pulled in, obviously hoping to catch people (sitting ducks) up to no good.
Anyone can join up and read the posts if you think about it, you have the die hard doggers who your add is meant for, then you got the police and the local herberts out to cause trouble who you definately don't want to go braodcasting too.
Don't make it easy for them.

yes ann and myself totally agree as we had a bad experience as we arranged to meet guy but was quiet when we got there and were just getting it on and the car park filled up then lo and behold they were there like flies on a piece of s??t not respecting the rules trying our car doors just as well they were locked and then on came the torches so we left and i think that we should campaign against the sport newspaper for advertising dogging as they have put all the genuine people at risk and who knows what sort of people are turning up murderers rapists we dont know now

I've just joined the site and agree that peoples safety whilst enjoying outdoor pursuits should be guarded where possible.
I have a site near me in Norfolk and would love to go along as I am yet to experience dogging but if people are guarding the time and place then i'm going to struggle as I am just finding my feet navigating the site which is excellent I must say.
If anyone can help or advise me or even invite me along to a meet i'd be grateful of help. In the meantime i'll fumble along browsing.

Sound advice 10 out of 10 for sensibility - makes a change to find something worthwhile on here ...
Not wanting to spoil the uphoria - REMEMBER - the police, nutters, rapists and muggers or any other low life can also be members of this site or any other site, so although a PM goes a long way to maintain security of dogging locations, it is by no means foolproof .....
