Trouble is that spam has different definitions... some companies consider it fine to contact members/customers from sister companies... and the thing is we have to opt out which often leads to more spam... ok last word from me on this subject for now...

Personally, I'm not too inclined to worry about spam, I'm sure a lot of us signed up to this site with traceable one-shot adresses, so if the new owners tried it, we would soon be able to pin the blame on them, for what is now a criminal offence.

'Suck it and see' is the first thought that popped into my head when I read the thread.
There are two other sites that used to be free untill a couple of years back, one with a name similar to this one... I visit it once in a blue moon as very few new people join up after the initial trial period, for the existing membership at the time they were all upgraded at the time so don't have to pay... but the site is not nearly as good as it used to be.
The other one went the premium membership way, and over time reduced the facilities that were available to non-paying members I've not visited it in nearly a year as its just not worth it as so little is available to myself and the number of new members is such that its lost the turnover required to make it interesting to anyone but a small clique.
A well known gay site has very reciently reduced the facilities available to non paying members by not allowing non-paying members to see the photos within the adverts (same as the swinging site mentioned last above) and its noticable that the number of new people creating accounts (not nesesserally paying) has droped significently.
I guess we shall all have to wait and see how the comercial paying aspects of the site exist with the non-paying abilities and what changes over time for all the regulars and if the site is improved or goes down the pan with respect to our usage as apposed to the comercial viability of just getting as many wanashags who can pay joining up and how or if refunds would be made to people that cause problems to others or if the fact they paid makes it ok for them to be members while causing grief for genuine swingers.
