OK come on guys STOP THROWING THE TOYS OUT OF THE PRAM ........... LETS GET CONSTRUCTIVE........................ PLEASE !!!

The site has changed ownership............ good for Mark he's done a fantastic job here and I personally wish him and his family well............. I just wish we had discovered this place two years ago and not 3 months ago. I have been around the net for too many years like a lot of you, but to find a community such as this is extremely rare. Maybe thats why I have posted more times on SH in 3 months than all the other forums I am a member of (some for many years) put together. We have had disagreements in here and we also have had our laughs. We also meet for real and have a lot of fun as well. All these things have been enabled because of this site but they have happened because of us. We must never forget that. Why don't we just calm down and wait to see what happens.

The new owners are free to do what they want and they will.......... You have seen Elliot try to be the nice guy, and Mr Montague also tried the nice guy approach, but then has also just used the Mr Nasty, (and yes he can probably be a lot worse.........can't you Martin icon_smile.gif)

I have just had a look at the things the new owners are into, as well as reading what Martin in particular has posted........... it sounds like a cross between many other paysites out there but with strong overtones of AFF (Adult FiendFinder to the unitiated - and yes deliberate spelling mistake)

One question Martin/Elliot.......... do you intend to make Swinging Heaven an International site like Dating online? Also Munches are site sanctioned to the extent that they are organised by volunteers from the membership but run to a strict formula that is supported by SH...........will your organisation be prepared to allow this to continue?

So come on lets give it a chance........ SH is probably the best UK Swinging Site there is. In a years time it could be even better or it may have sunk without a trace who knows dunno.gif

Either way it is important that we keep the community alive be it here or somewheres else...... think about it

7. We will make this the best site of this nature in the world, by doing it properly we will work together to ensure that it conforms to all legal issues and has every feature that you ever wanted.
8. As a company we have spent a lot of time and effort to work with you all.
9. This site was previously owned by a company (just a little bit smaller) so this site has always been commercially owned!!
10. I completely understand how you feel, I can tell you the beating I just got in the chat room was severe to start with!!.

Thanks

Martin

Hi to the new owners.

Like everything in life it changes.
We have to accept the change and get used to it.
Since joining Swinging Heaven several years ago now I can honestly say there have been loads of changes, albeit not as dramatic as new owners.
We can surley try to see positives out of this and I feel grow stronger as a community as we look out for each other.
I for 1 am excited although I do accept that there are questions, but these have been answered as much as possible as far as I can see.
Its early days peeps, can't we just give it chance and see what happens.
Lifes far too short to only focus on negatives.
Swingers are fun loving their nature, therefore lets carry on and show the new owners how good this site is.
As they say, if we don't like the "new site" then we know where the door is.

Sorry if my comments have pissed off people but these are my views.

Hugs as always

Funin

Thanks Osmosis, lets get on with this rather than just being negative, there is no going back now change is on the cards one way or another.

We dont want this community to poisoned by a few bad apples so if you want to be a bad apple please pack up before you are asked to leave. If you have constructive points them bring them up for the new build!.

WE built this community so give us some time to get used to YOU.... because as far as I can see it is a free site being taken over by grubby profiteers who have no interest in our lives except to make a profit. Any other newbie who showed such disrespect would be given very short shrift.... and rightly so.

It is day one. Bite it and see what happens. I know I am.

Postie am sorry hun but where is the disrespect? So far all I have seen is the guys trying to be as open and honest as they can be with us. Ok we might not like the fact that Mark has gone and that this has happened with no warning to any of us but fact is fact it was Marks site to do with as he pleased.

Marks site has become a victim of it's own success and each and everyone who posts and chats on this site is responsible for that. We are the ones who have caused the site to grow by our contributions to it - us the members/mods/ops we have all played our parts.

I wish Mark his heartfelt desires the guy has earned it - jesus if he had not created the site we would have all missed out on some fecking fantastic mates.

Lets give the guys a chance to deliver on their promises - Rome was not built in a day - lets work with them to create something that Mark would have been proud of but more so lets create a site WE can be proud of. These guys have promised a lot and quite frankly some of the crap that is being said - why should they bother? OK we are a community - they are not out to destroy that because they couldn't . Most of the hardcore of this site are in contact with each other via msn/yahoo etc so no one should be afraid of change. Work with them make it a success and then you wont be downgraded after the year.

Make the site work for us. We make it better - we make it bigger - we expand its horizons but having them as backers we can do that.

Contention will only destroy what we have ALL worked so hard to achieve! Please lets not destroy what we have all worked so hard to achieve icon_wink.gif

Thanks for all of the constructive PMs that have been sent to me, I will work my way through them now!!.

You cant please everyone all of the time, I dont think that all the negativity on this forum is helping things here. These changes are happening, no one will force you to stay here, perhaps we should start on the positives now as this is just not going anywhere at all.

Its happened, come to terms with it and either wait and see what happens or pack your bags. One thing is for sure the site will change as I have described, I have chcked and negativeswingers.com is available for those who want to pack.

Its time that we allowed the constructive and supportive in this community to be publicly heard.

So because some members are a little sceptical about your "brave new world" you brand them bad apples and tell us to pack our bags ?

I think that as with similar provocative threads and subjects, everyone needs to take a step back before it all gets out of hand etc.

The site is now under a new owner. They have every right to make whatever changes they deem necessary. Like all good management, listening to the concerns and welfare of their staff will ensure a healthy environment, and in this case, the continuation of the community as it is now. We have no choice in what they do, but can only hope they make it for the best. If some people don't agree or don't like it, then the only option is to "pack your bags".

Making statements such as bad apples and insinuating bans is counter-productive. As Angel_chat said, you're coming into an already established community, with it's clique, cliches and ruts. Taking a firm stance against members, regardless of how long they've been here won't help smooth things over with the locals. Sure, most of them will complain until they're out of breath or their keyboard breaks, but what do you expect from us Brits icon_rolleyes.gif . Weather the storm, leave the "bad apples" alone and unless the 'abuse' gets personal and prolonged, most will do like the rest and resign themselves to the change and see what benefits it can bring.

Oh, and ignore Postie, he's always a miserable git icon_razz.gif icon_razz.gif

What I am trying to say, is we are really trying here, really trying to help and really trying to keep this thing together for everyone icon_cry.gif

I cant tell you how upsetting it is when people have been going out of their way to be hurtful towards me personally and our company.

You might think it was funny to have what you had as your footer aimed at us trying to undo all the good of the day. I will not even tell you how upsetting to us all that was to see.

What else can I say, I cant help but get upset or annoyed when you have been so disrespectful. What would you have said in the same position?

I understand how a large number of the members here are feeling, and thanks for removing it.

Sorry if I got emotional

its very upsetting we have made so many friends on here and don't want to lose any of them were going to either grin and bear it or move to another site but one things for sure I'm not happy as a few of the top members have already been told of and as martin said if we don't like it we got to pack our bags how can you say that you don't know any of us you have only been here a day or so this site is all about stressing our feelings and giving our opinions(as well as other things icon_twisted.gif ) but it seems were cant even do that after half a day it either shut up or pack up with the sounds of it not a good way to make friends icon_mad.gif

Packing a suitcase is a strategic exercise in maximizing space and minimizing wrinkles. You might already have a favorite packing system, but read on for more suggestions .

Pack Clothing

Steps:
1. Remember this order of operations: shirts on the bottom, then dresses (if applicable), then pants.

2. Stack tops, unfolded, by placing wrinkle-prone tops toward the bottom of a pile and less easily wrinkled ones toward the top.

3. Fold the sleeves in toward the shirts' torsos.

4. Fold the shirts in half from the bottom. You now have a rectangular bundle of shirts; place it in your suitcase.

5. Drape long dresses in the suitcase so that the ends hang over the sides.

6. Place pants and skirts on a flat surface; fold each in half lengthwise.

7. Stack pants and skirts on top of one another, with easily wrinkled ones on the bottom and sturdier ones, such as jeans, on top. Fold the stack over, so that its length is halved.

8. Place your stack of pants and skirts on top of the dresses, then fold the ends of the dresses over the pants and skirts.

Pack Accessories

Steps:
1. Roll ties loosely.

2. Stuff socks in shoes. Pack underwear in mesh laundry bags or side pockets to save space.

3. Arrange each pair of shoes so that the heel of one aligns with the toe of the other.

4. Wrap pairs of shoes in separate plastic bags, and place them along the border of your suitcase.

5. Protect clothes from leaks by placing toiletries in a plastic bag.

6. Pack essential toiletries in a carry-on bag. Include your toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup, medication and other important items.

Overall Warnings:
Avoid packing money, jewelry, travel documents, medication, keys and other valuables in your suitcase. Carry these items with you.

Martin - I've been in similar situations to what you're going through right now, but usually in company takeovers where you have to face angry (paid) staff.

It's tough, but it's only day one, so please remember that everyone has to take in the news, and can only really judge you properly when they see the results over the coming days, weeks and months.

I also know that, in these circumstances, you are going to get a lot of unfair and hurtful comments while people let off steam. Please try to avoid hitting back (however tempting it is), as it will only make things worse. You may have to put up with the flak for a little while yet. The more you bite your tongue now, the greater the respect you will earn.

And for everyone else - no, I'm not making any judgement about whether things are going to be better, worse, or the same. Only time will tell and, as many others have said, we can choose to stay or leave. I would give the guys a chance to prove that they mean what they say.

I am sorry for my actions but I am not sure if you saw what one of the members had on their footer, we value our team like you value your community and what was done was completely unacceptable. No one at symbios would ever pull a stunt on this community like that.

So sorry if I threw my toys!!

Working for a Company which was taken over by another Company a few months ago, I have a feeling of deja-vu.

We had the same fears, New Company will wreck OUR way of doing things, we'll all be sacked within a month etc. Didn't happen!! Life goes on much as before.

Probably it will be the same here!! Look at it this way, we all have to go to work for the money, so we put up with the crap. But the only thing which keeps us on this site is the other members.

If this site became crap we could all leave, the regulars could probably form a new group because most long term members will have other peoples phone numbers or other email addresses, so word would spread as to the location of the new group.

But that can't be what the new owners want to happen. That would have killed the Golden Goose they have just bought. Because it is ONLY the members which make this site better than all the other sites out there.

John & Shel

Well, shocked isnt the word when I got told about the sale tonight

But sold it is and nothing can change that

Big Thanks to Mark and Helen and I wish them all the best for the future

I for one will hope that Elliot Martin and crew will let us keep our community very much alive because that is what it is, we have all made very good friends on here and will want to see it continue.

Martin please remember people dont like change and its come as a great shock. People react in many ways, including being negative.

Elliot Ive read your posts and will wait and see if the changes do make a difference for the better

But the Heart of this site is the members. Our SH Family, and like any family its just had a kick in the guts, give us time to heal and get used to our new parents

Will post again when ive got my head round all this and have stopped rambling
