I have sent the link to the other swingers site run by symbios via PM. I should point out that I have previously seen other start pages to this group. The link I am sending via pm is the main front page. But they have other front pages hidden away, which they tag to keywords on google. They basically use different front pages depending on who they want to attract.
If you are a guy searching for naughty pics on google, that is not the best front page to link to, so they use something a bit more seedier.

The Take over has happened - Live with it or leave easy as that! We have a chance to make Swingingheaven stay the Community it is but with all these concerns we have been going round in flaming circles.
Points both good and Bad have been raised by all sides.
Concerns over the Vid chat - If you dont want to use it - don't BOTHER in the same way a lot on here cannot be bothered by the current Chat room. Having different rooms for people in my opinion can be a good thing as it will make the main room slower if people are in the other rooms and people will be able to keep up better. Although I would still prefer it if the flash rooms support MIrc Access - Java is the pits. All the rooms will require moderation tho
Yes they do operate another site which I found deceptive and quite frankly useless - I would much prefer we forget that site and concentrate on the site we all love OK.
We have the chance to influence what happens here - the guys ARE listening. We made the comment that Verification is open to abuse but we backed it up with the empiracal evidence of the verification thread - result there is to be no verification on profiles.
They are listening so rather than whine about something that has not happened lets have constructive critique so that they can give us what we want which is then only GOOD for the site
My one question at the moment was raised months ago to Mark. Some people asked if the Profile section could be expanded so they did not have to have an ad. If this can happen where we can put as much or as little as we want with more than just our avatar pics in - surely its a good thing - Not everyone is here to swing (including the bosses) but I would like to take it one step further as a single fem. I wanted to place an ad which was more an extended profile so people in chat and on the boards could theoretically learn more about me and what makes me tick BUT I did not want it to be an ad which got responses. Is there anyway we can optionise the email funtion ie toggle it on or off so we can keep the ad/profile active and suit our purpose?

Has anyone ever thought about waiting till Monday when we get the full list of changes. Seeing what comes of those changes. Watching some of those changes take place and then moaning? We can't moan about something they have yet to confirm will take place 
I am not going to presume anything. No where that I can find have any of the new guys said that SH will become the same as the sites they own already.
What would be the point of that? They wouldn't make any more money on having two or more sites offering the same thing. Having sites that provide different things surely will be more profit making

In answer to Steph and Dawn I think this forum has always been here to talk about things, people are still going to do that in the absence of actual information - this may actually be a good thing as it will show our new owners some of the things people feel strongly about and may result in them shelving some plans they had without them implementing them and then there being a big uproar.
If we all waited for the full facts before discussing things conversation would be pretty boring.

hi i know we don't get round as much as most of you do and were not that well known on here but we have read all the the pros and cons on whats going to happen and we have decided to stay we wouldn't want to lose any one of our friends we have made. and hope you all decide to stay to as this is the best swinging site on the web and its all of us that has made it the way it is if you stay we can carry on making it the best site but if you decide to leave then that's up to you there will be others to take your place maybe we should go with the flow. yes things will change but from what i have read so far it seems the changes will be for the best as for the chat rooms i have started using ours but it is far to fast for me so i for one think other rooms will be a good thing

I agree with you Dawn, and I said something along the same vein on the previous page of this thread, only I didn't put it as so concisely as you did............. BUT
I remember a thread running on here within the last two months (I'll go and look for it), that was basically taking the piss out of a certain swinging site that had registered similar sounding names to SH (Swining Heaven for example), so that if people inadvertently made a typo when searching for SH they would be taken to their site............. Yes this is the same mob !
I still stand by what I said I want this community to survive, because I like those of you that H and I have met, and I know by what a lot of people post we would really get on well with a lot of the others if we get to meet one day. But I think it is good that anything people are finding out now about the new owners does get posted, because at least then we know who we are dealing with. There is no need to jump ship yet and hopefully there will never be any need, but at the same time lets look at what these guys are already into

A very good morning to you, once again I will try as best as I can to answer a few questions.
1. Your pictures (ownership) firstly as already mentioned you own these we will never remove, sell, or do anything with your pics. The new improvements will allow you a few more options
Firstly you will be able to have more if you want to upto about 15 each
Secondly you can have a private invite gallery that you can manage, this is useful to send peeps that you are interested in passwords for that expire at set times.
Thirdly they are your pictures as you delete them from your control panel they are real time deleted from the server.
2. Picture gallery two parts
Firstly YOU specify if you want a picture included in the gallery, you can either remove it or have it in our own gallery. Basically you will have complete control over who sees what (unlike now). There is a non members gallery that only has page 3 type pics in, this is one of the legal morality issues at the mo with the site.
Secondly there is a members gallery, basically all the same pics as above with all others included. The gallery only has thumbnails on then when you click on it it would take you to the member profile.
The gallery on the other site is really useful to members to search on, basically if they like the look of someone they then click through to see the profile, rather than hunt through adds then look at the pictures and think no, not my type etc. This can be used with the new location search.
Please remember here you have control if you want your pics included in this way! Basically its your call how you want your pictures displayed, private, public, or both, if both non members cant see anything risky. A major concern right now that some peeps are concerned that anyone on the net can look at all of your pics when they go on the site here.
These improvements are not to force anything on you, they are about letting you have choice to use more features. We are confident that these new features will help not hinder.
To answer the other question about peeps joining to see naughty pics rather than being swingers it goes like this.
Anyone new visiting this site is not able to see anything more than page 3 type stuff on thumbnail our experience with this is good ,as people will not join thinking it is a free porn site. This and our other sites are never promoted in a way that promise sex or play on adult pics etc etc.
The last point to cover was made that we promote pictures to single men to join etc, this is not the case because of what is above. If you can validate your statement we would investigate it.
You will also have the facility to have video on your profiles or record and send video messages to other peeps on the site (if you want to).
No one will force you to do anything that you dont want to with your content, we will just provide improvements based on more options.

1. The location of the watermark is on one edge, this means that you could have your pics cropped and used elsewhere without your consent.
We will use a clear but visable watermark that goes accross the middle to ensure ths can not happen, basically it will make your pics non useable if someone was to take them from the site.
2. We will have the user profile that submitted the picture onto the site, this is very useful because we noticed on the other sites that a few people were pretending to be someone else for whatever reasons. If anyone tries to do this by submitting one of your pics on this or any site then you will know where the picture came from and who it belongs to. It is also then an easy hit for the mods to pick up and take action on.
Both the above will help to ensure that you do not get your images exploited elsewhere.

If you don't want to wade through the entire thread then just scroll the pages and look for the posts from the new Admins. It's not difficult and doesn't take long.
The idea of a locked thread that only Admin and Mods can post on seems a sound one to me. That could contain the questions and answers that have been given and would save a lot of unneccessary clutter here.

I believe that people must be VERY naive if they don't think this is the end of SH.
It's finished forget it. It doesn't need to be the end though.
I've seen what a strong community has grown on this site and although i'm not particularly active in it, I think it's sad that it coming to an end. I think it's sad for the people who have built such strong friendships. So I say this:
GO MAKE YOUR OWN!!
The closest community on this website is in the forums IMHO. This forum is a plug-n-play phpBB forum. Go have a search for phpBB on the web. You can set one up in literally minutes as I did the other day. You require a website with PHP and mySQL which you cna buy for a pitance. You could be up and running in a few days with a minimal amount of administration.
PS. Don't forget to send me the link when you do.
