One for the Mingers >>>>>>>

    I cannot see
    I cannot pee
    I cannot chew
    I cannot screw
Oh my God, what can I do?
    My memory shrinks
    My hearing stinks
    No sense of smell
    I look like hell!
My mood is bad........ can you tell?
    My body's drooping,
    Have trouble pooping.........
The Golden years have come at last
The Golden years can kiss my arse. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

maryhad a little lamb
her father shot it dead.
now it goes to school with her,
between two chunks of bread.

mary had a little lamb
it ran into a pylon
10,000 volts went up its ass
and turned its wool to nylon

I was just reading through a book and came across this short poem by Keats which holds a special meaning for me.

Asleep! O sleep a little while, white pearl!
And let me kneel, and let me pray to thee,
And let me call Heaven’s blessing on thine eyes,
And let me breathe into the happy air,
That doth enfold and touch thee all about,
Vows of my slavery, my giving up,
My sudden adoration, my great love!

I cannot profess to be able to pen any poetry worth reading I truly wish I could.

THE SQUID
What happy appellations these
Of birds and beasts in companies!
A shrewdness of apes, a sloth of bears
A sculk of foxes, a huske of hares.
An exaltation 'tis of larks,
And possibly a grin of sharks,
But I declare a squirt of squid
I should not like to be amid.
Skin divers boldly swim through sepia.
But I can think of nothing creepier.

Live with me and be my love,
And we will all the pleasures prove
That hills and valleys, dales and fields,
And all the craggy mountains yields.

There will we sit upon the rocks
And see the shepherds feed their flocks,
By shallow rivers, by whose falls
Melodious birds sing madrigals.

There will I make thee a bed of roses,
With a thousand fragrant posies
A cap of flowers, and a kirtle
Embroider'd all with leaves of myrtle.

A belt of straw and ivy buds,
With coral clasps and amber studs;
And if these pleasures may thee move
Then live with me and be my love.

C.Marlowe.

Dolly's ditties....

Sweet Valentine

She's my sugar, she's so fine
She makes my nuts cluster
My gums wine,
Little by little
Each day I love her more;
She makes my peanut brittle
My sweet Valentine.

My Bed

My bed is calling me...
My bed is ignoring me
It saw me leer
At four posters in Ikea.

Lie With Me

Lying man talking
Lies in my bed.

Not my own words but wish they where

Have I Ever

Have I ever told you
that if I sit really still and silent,
sometimes. I like to think
I can hear your heart beating
in time with mine?

Have I ever told you
that when I watch you speak to me
through lines and cords,
and bytes and ram,
I imagine
your voice,
whispering into my ear?

Have I ever told you
that I wait out each day
in anticipation,
wanting
only an hour or two,
just a second in space and time,
to feel close to you?

Have I ever told you
that there has been times,
when I ached for you,
ached for you so badly,
that the emotions overwhelmed me..
and so I sat and cried?

Have I ever told you
that sometimes,
I will reach out,
touching your name
on this cold screen before me,
wishing
I could reach in
and pull you to me?

Have I ever told you
that after the first time I heard
the sound of your voice,
thousands of miles away,
I sat up all night,
turning the conversation over and over
in my mind,
examining it,
like some newly discovered species of flower?

Have I ever told you
that I would give everything up,
just for one night
to be able to lay near you,
to feel your chest rise and fall
with each breath you take,
just to know that you are real?

Have I ever told you
that I dream of you often,
I dream of you reaching out
and touching my hand,
simply to let me know
that you are there,
and everything is okay?

Have I ever told you,
have I still yet to tell you . . .
that I love you?

Is this love?

I wait
Unknowing
No expectations
My brick walls in tact

He comes
Unknowing
No expectations
His mask in place

We talk
We smile
We kiss
The first cracks appear

Laying together
Those eyes which have been trained to hide the soul now saying so much
We are silent
The mask begins to melt.

We touch
We caress
We make sweet love
We sleep

Morning comes
Bitter sweet sunshine signalling imminent separation
We shower, warm water disguising our tears
Our last remaining defences wash away

We are naked
Emotions exposed
We are vulnerable
So scared, so happy, so confused, is this love?

I've known you a while Alex, and had no idea you could write as beautifully as this! If this is about one of your thousands of admirers, he is indeed a very lucky man....keep writing Alex, you have talent

The gates of Heaven

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
how shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I haven’t,
because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
that wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
when the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
but if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly
for the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, you soldier,
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."
