Warm night
dancing moon beams
something awakens.

The written word.

The written words taken and misunderstood,
Wishing to rearrange if only they could,
Just so you’d know what was meant from me,
So you could realise what I mean you see.

In voice you’d hear, no mistakes to make,
And you’d give allowance for the written words sake,
The words would come in the context they meant,
Not in the way you thought they were sent.

The feel in my heart was light at the time,
But your returned words don’t give me that sign,
Is it now my turn to misunderstand?
The very words sent by your own hand.

In voice I would hear you, no mistake could there be,
Now we’ll both understand what was meant you see,
Written words are hard with your own feelings put there,
As those feeling on my words I may not share.

Take heart from these words that are written right here,
They are meant for a friend, whom I hold very dear,
Please don’t misunderstand me, my words are meant true,
I didn’t mean to offend or ever upset you!

Okay this is one I wrote in April - bit short. Its a bit deep but if anyone can crack it's very simple meaning (a few people can) I will be very impressed:

"Sitting in the sun is you, or maybe it's us backwards."

Bird on a wire
full of desire
bird on a hook
waiting to foock.

I sit in the quiet an look out there..
wondering if someone is going to stare..
do you see me sat in the dark?
do you know that i have a broken heart?

life rolls on an on an on ..
i think to myelf , on an on an on ..
plodding through making it do
hoping that someday life will be fun..

being alone is very quiet place
the only sound i hear is the beat of my pulse
no one to hear me cry in the night
no one to hold me when i wake up in fright

they say a man cant be an island
that he cant survive alone
they say you need people to make you alive
i say look at me i manage it fine..
call me an island and it will make me smile..

To you know who.

So many seas you have sailed
so many lands
who shores you have touched
so many exotic scents
so many foreign fruits.

But this land
will never see top sail furled
revealing firm set mast.
It's shore will never caress
sweet lined keel.

Darling

Darling I love you feelings are true
My heart is so open but only to you
We started as lovers in the dark of the night
Our feelings for others are kept out of sight
Our passion is growing stronger each day
We will try to stop others who get in our way.
Because I love you now as I did from the start,
When you stepped out of my dreams into my heart.


a poem of mine from years ago when i was in love

The rain falls on the window
tears fall down my face
I feel the world stop turning
but my thoughts keep going

I look into the sky
see the stars in their infinity
I am such a small part of the universe
in my own small corner of the earth

I light a candle for my lost ones..
now all is peaceful.
