Looks more like Virgin and their backbone through London Linx are having routing problems, either that or their routers are very busy and not returning pings.

Things are still ok so far ( touch wood ) fingers crossed it all stayes that way. This time i do think it was me at my end. Also my msn was affected but i run a deep scan and virus scanner cleared out a lot of stuff from that and since then it has worked fine. again thats touch wood, 
hope it stays that way.

bopeep - if the result timed out then you have a connection issue, something is blocking the ports needed for flash applications.
What isp are you with, i forget? Also any new security software or change of hardware that could have triggerd it?
maybe_me - if you passed, thats quite confusing, could you try a few times to see if you pass all of them over the space of 10 minutes or so.

Everytime I go into chat within 5 mins or less I am disconnected and get this message
You have been disconnected, the error has been logged to our technical team to investigate.
This has been happening since Monday.. It has happend in the past, but only occasionally..this week its happening all the time..have never managed to stay in chat more than 5 mins all week!!!

Yes I have been getting that since the chatrooms went back to 4 servers after the big 1 server, I cant even get into chat today all I get is a grey screen!!!

If you have xtras - get in via that and move to the server you want (just dont go to 1), if you don't have xtras - sorry you will have to wait until its fixed.

When i click on chatroom my machine hangs. is there an issue or is it volume?

Server 1 isnt working at the moment - if you have Xtras you can access chat via that room.

Looks like SH owes me a days subscription. Only 13p but it all adds up!!
SH should note that other swingers sites do not seem to continulally have issues with chat servers and some of them are free!

If extras lounge is the only way into chat why not give everyone extras until the issue is sorted, or move chat entry to server 2 like it used to be.
SH risks losing members by not setting up a quick work around whilst server 1 is fixed.

Couldn't agree more with the above comments. Lack of communication is an issue too - downtime of this nature should warrant some sort of message on the chat home page. It is easy to think the problem is your end rather than SH's end and a message would at least stop up wanting to throw our computers out the window.

How does it? Your still using the site. Its just one element of the site you cant use

Entry into chat usually works by sending you to the emptiest server as server 1 is down it shows as no one in there hence sending you to the server that is down

How does it?? Because i cant access chat which is what I use the site for. Free access would get me most of the rest.
I know it sends you to the emptiest server thats obvious, but a work around should be simple.
A lot of people are disgruntled about the reliability of Chat at the moment, if you spend time in the chatrooms you see comments all the time.
I am sure SH dont need defending, they just need to sort it, or members will be lost. That means less revenue, and that means problems will be harder to fix because there will be less resource. You then get a spiral of decline.
And please dont misunderstand me, I want sh to thrive and be good. So I was making sugestings and pointing oput the consequences of the problems. As for the 13p that was tongue in cheek
