Why is it that when I try to enter Server 1 I get a dialogue box stating "Sorry, that server is currently full, please try later" when it clearly isn't.
This is getting rather annoying now and happens 9 times out of 10 (at a guess)

Probably the main Admin rooms (Jacuzzi, beach bar and pool) are full.
There are two other servers to use....
It just took me about 6 goes to get in and the admin rooms were empty except for the beach bar which had 42 people in it when I arrived.

So are you saying I have to use two thirds of the facility???
If all Admin rooms are full then why are there Overflow rooms which are empty? Did 210 people suddenly, all decide at the same moment, to leave?
It has just taken me 11 attempts then the stats are:
Home of the Chatroom OP's: 0 Users
Overflow 1: 0 Users
The Poll: 0 Users
Overflow 3: 0 Users
The Beach Bar: 45 users
That's how I know they are not FULL
The Jacuzzi: 0 Users

And how many was in user rooms?
I think you will find there is a maximum allowed on the whole of the server and it counts everyone in admin
and user rooms then as one leaves thats server another one can enter.
Thats my theory anyway.

I'll write it all down the next few times it decides to let me in then and compare the figures to see if your theory holds any water

Each server can handle about 700 users, although the admin rooms may be almost empty the total load is from all rooms.
There is a script in place that kicks in when there are more than 500 users on any server, so if we have;
500 in chat 1 and 300 in chat 2/3 people are sent to chat 2/3 until the numbers in chat 2/3 approach that of chat 1
There is also a hard limit after which no additional users will be able to get onto a chatserver.
The actual numbers used do change as Elliot often tweaks the limits to try to make the whole thing more stable.
Chat 1 usually has a much higher loading than the other two servers as people tend to create more rooms in there.

OK heres one for you.
Normally have NO problems at all getting into the chat rooms Last couple of days I cant get past the log in screen.
System running.
Firefox via Virgin ISP .
I have removed and reinstalled Java.
Installed the Macromedia FLASH thats is mentioned on these pages
Even gone to the Trouble of running a System Restore back 3 days
YET my Parner SARA has No problems what so ever in logging on from the same house Via the same broadband...(VirginISP)
Sara also has the same problem logging into the chat On my laptop with her Log in.
So it has to be my system
All I get is the "Loading Interface" and "Authorised Gra_Sara-Couple.
Then it just sits there and looks at me as if im stoopid (Maybe I am)
Any help on this problem at all?
