Dogging in Hampshire

Main dogging sites and directions for Hampshire.

Shave Wood A337 Cadnam To Lyndhurst Road

A perfect dogging area on the edge of the New Forest close to Southampton, Lyndhurst, Totton and all of central and west Hampshire. A wooded area with plenty of hidden and not so hidden pathways and with a parking area. This place could have been designed for dogging From the M27 take exit 1 heading for Lyndhurst and Lymington. At the Cadnam roundabout take the third exit signposted Lyndhurst. This is the A337 Lyndhurst road. Once on the A337 take the first exit/road on the right after about 0.5 miles signposted Furzey Gardens and Minstead. Then take the first right after about 50 metres sign posted London Minstead. After just a few metres the clearly marked entrance into Shave Wood is on the right. Coming from Totton or Southampton on the A336 once you reach the Cadnam roundabout then take the first exit left and you are on the A337 and follow the above directions. Coming from the Lyndhurst direction on the A337 then take the last turn on the left signposted Furzey Gardens and Minstead. (This is a X roads junction. The right turn is signed for Bartley). Having taken the left turn there is a right turn signed for London Minstead, take this and the entrance into Shave Wood is a few metres in on the right.

Take the main road out of Andover towards Tidworth and drive through Luggershaw. Through the traffic lights and over the bridge. Drive past the Wellingdon Academy on your right and then the road dips, at the bottom turn 1st right (don't take the tank track so be careful when turning) drive up the single road track and you can turn left up a dirt track and you'll find an ideal dogging spot which is covered by trees. Alternatively take the second turning on your left, follow the road and you'll come to another area covered by trees where you can park up. Action most nights but good over the weekend. Often Couples there from the near by army dwellings. Very Good.
