It started snowing here (SE London) at about 6pm, it's been snowing heavily since. We got about 4 inches on the ground. It's going to be fun in the morning.
I've got everything from Simon & Garfunkel to Slayer. Go figure.
Roobarb (with Custard the Cat)
Noah And Nelly
Hector's House
Chorlton And The Wheelies
and the best kids show ever...Tiswas.
I'm not really a collector but I've got quite a few autographs.
I've got an autograph book full of old West Brom players (I'm a Baggies fan, btw) and also the Man Utd team that was playing them that weekend, including George Best, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law etc.
I've also got quite a few musicians autographs. An ex girlfriend gave me an autograph book that she'd got filled with people like Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, David Coverdale, Lemmy, Ian Gillan and various members of their bands. I've also met (and got stuff signed by) Robert Plant, The Scorpions, Rory Gallagher, Fish (Marillion) as well as lesser known bands like The Gathering, Spiritual Beggars, Alabama Thunderpussy, Jim Martin (ex-Faith No More), Devin Townsend and quite a few others.
RIP Oliver.
A massive part of my childhood has gone with this. The Clangers, Bagpuss, Pogle's Wood, Tales From The Riverbank.
Children's television from before it became necessary to blast zombie robots.
Very sad.
What's white, sticky and slides around a highly polished floor?
Cum dancing.
It should go without saying that Desi and I will be there. Put our names down please, Sheer. x
I haven't seen the Q+PR (Queen + Paul Rodgers) line-up. I doubt they would be able to surpass the 3 times I saw Queen with Freddie. Their last ever show at Knebworth in 1986 is still one of the best I've ever seen. I don't mind Brian and Roger touring and playing Queen's music, but I think they should have started again with Paul Rodgers under a new name.
Similarly, Axl Rose should rename his band rather than go out under the Guns N Roses banner.
We all know why they are doing that, though. Bums on seats, pure and simple. GNR will sell more tickets thatn Axl's All-Stars. Q+PR will sell more tickets than The May, Taylor & Rodgers Band.
I don't think anything will change.
It was such a long time ago that it's ancient history to most people now.
Also, there have been more 'significant' events that have happened in more recent time. 9/11 is this generations JFK moment. WW2 was a gradual thing over the course of 6 years (even more if you count the rise of the Nazi party during the 1930's.) 9/11 was a couple of hours when everything changed. The World became a much more brutal and random place to live.

Mrs B,
You got mail, Hun.
DP xx
Woo hoo.
A return to the Black Country.
Count Desi and I in, please Mrs B. We miss Chams. It's a great place.
We could make a week of it and visit some family while we're up there.
Humongous thanx to the very wonderful Mandy for her magnificent hospitality.
Big big thanx to Mandy, Jen and everybody else for making it a great night. Desi and I have been talking and laughing about it all the way home.
BBW Room kicks ass. We rule.
They problem is that the Cross of St. George has been hi-jacked by the NF/BNP and if anybody celebrates being 'English', they're lumped in with that lot of knuckle-draggers.
St Patrick's day is not so much a national day for the Irish, it's more about a day to celebrate the Guinness Marketing Dept. They have a St. Patricks day parade in Brum every year and it's full of people who've never been further west than Rhyl.
As for the West Bromwich St George's day parade mentioned earlier, the council tried to stop it last year, but the residents caused a rumpus and the council relented and let it go ahead. I used to live about 5 minutes away from it's starting point. I'm not sure about this year, as I moved areas.
I'm looking forward to seeing this. I'm a Marvel Comics fan from way back. I hope it's more like The X-Men movies than The Hulk movie from a few years back.
Leave Basil Brush alone. I once went to Pebble Mill in Birmingham to see his show being recorded. It was a long time ago, when Mr Roy was his sidekick. I was only a kid, but it was brilliant.
I saw this on another site. It makes interesting reading.
marriage to Macca - 4 years
McDonald‚s worker - 1771 years!
It took Heather Mills 4 years of marriage to "Macca" for her to earn ; it would take the average McDonald‚s worker 1771 years to earn the same money
This week has seen the Heather Mills and Paul McCartney divorce battle end with the judge awarding £24.3 million to Ms Mills following her marriage to the Beatle star.
Based on the four-year duration of the marriage, Ms Mills was effectively Œpaid‚ more than £700 for every hour that she was married to Sir Paul.
So if Heather earns £700 an hour, and was to work the average working day of 7.5 hours, she would earn £159, a month.
That's a pretty decent wage, but how does it compare to the average wage in certain other industries? Adecco compares the monthly earnings of Heather Mills with other popular job roles:
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Mechanic: £1,
WINNER: Mills! It would take the mechanic over 7 years to earn as much as Mills did in a month.
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Teacher: £2,
WINNER: Mills! It would take a teacher almost five and a half years to earn as Mills did in a month.
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Secretary: £1,
WINNER: Mills! It would take secretary over 10.5 years to earn as much as Mills did in a month!
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Office Manager: £2,
WINNER: Mills! It would take an office manager a little under 5 years to earn as much as Mills did in a month!
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Fire-fighter: £2,
WINNER: Mills! It would take a fire fighter over 6 years to earn as Mills did in a month.
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Nurses: £1,
WINNER: Mills! It would take a nurse just under 7 years to earn as Mills did in a month.
Heather Mills: £159, vs. Chefs and caterers: £1,
WINNER: Mills! It would take a chef or caterer over 11.5 years to earn as Mills did in a month.
Very sad. One of my favourite SF authors and a great mind.
RIP Arthur.
Lancelot has died again. FFS.
Did anybody see the auction on
A pair of tickets went for
Yes, that's right. Six pounds and fifteen pence!!!!!
FFS!!!!!!
Some jammy bastard from Salisbury won them. As compared with another auction where a pair of tickets went or £83,000. Yes, you read that right. Eighty Three Thousand Pounds.
The real bitch is that I can see the O2 Arena from my front door step.
Desi and I are up for this. Please put our name's down, Sheer. I trust the PC have okayed it
