For those that want to change the 'logon as' names - these are taken from your :: Profile > nicknames - change > then 'save'.
The quick way in Paint is to use the 'Select' tool, and crop the image to about 2/3rds, press Ctrl+X on the keyboard together, then go to File New and press Ctrl+V to paste the selected image into a new file - save to jpeg format and upload.
Alternatively you can download a number of image manipulation tools from the web which will resize the photo for you.
or read this thread:-

Assuming you have Windows installed:-
Windows Start Button > All Programmes > Accessories > Paint.
Open your photo in Paint and click > File > Save As and select File Type JPEG > Save.
check that the file size is 2Mb (2048kb) or less, then try the upload.
My Photos > Upload Tab > Choose >
you should then see Windows file open box popup on your screen.
Select the sub-directory where your photo's are stored.
Select the photo you wish to upload.
Note the photo has to be 2Mb or less in size and in .jpeg format.
return to the SH Upload page - you should see the file name in the Choose Photo line.
optional - add your own comment / make the picture private only > click on upload.
The file transfer will then take place.
Once the photo is 'approved' by a Mod then it can be seen on your profile or in your private folder.

Yet another crap profile with no thought put into it.
Well planned, well organised, well attended - what more could any happy swingers want?
This is the epitomy of what makes this site a Swinging 'Community'.

This problem is entirely due to slow IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server. Only the people who set up the network at the site which hosts the Web server can fix this problem.

You are clearly an expert in such matters, I have very little knowledge about any of what you have said, but I think I get the jist of it.
Does this mean that if Swinging Heaven are not the same people as the people who set up the network.... that we will have to wait for the people who set up the network to address the problem.
If so, it could potentially be a little while - unless Swinging Heaven have arrange some form of out of hours support to address such issues.
Depending on the type of Datacentre that the servers are hosted from. The SH support team have to contact the DC Operations staff to identify where the problem is and if a fix can be applied to restore service. Most DC's are 'secure' environments and require a PTW (Permit to Work) for external engineers to visit and repair.
8 times out of 10 a 504 error is caused by a faulty patch cable between the server and the network hub. The other 2 times are usually the NIC (Network Interface Card) developing a fault.
When we architect server farms we would normally specify servers that contain twin NIC's and that they are patched to separate hubs to avoid this type of problem occurring and thus provide some degree of fail-safe.

wtf is a 504 gateway problem?
this has been over 12 hrs now

A 504 Error:-
A server (not necessarily a Web server) is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request by the client (e.g. your Web browser) to access the requested URL. This server did not receive a timely response from an upstream server it accessed to deal with your HTTP request.
This usually means that the upstream server is down (no response to the gateway/proxy), rather than that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data.
504 errors in the HTTP cycle
Any client (e.g. your Web browser) goes through the following cycle when it communicates with the Web server:
Obtain an IP address from the IP name of the site (the site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs).
Open an IP socket connection to that IP address.
Write an HTTP data stream through that socket.
Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.
This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code that it recognises as '504'.
Fixing 504 errors - general
This problem is entirely due to slow IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server. Only the people who set up the network at the site which hosts the Web server can fix this problem.
