Couples often have to pay babysitters so they can go out. I know some single men do too, but the majority ( if they are really single ) don't have that expense. It is probably £20 ish a night.
Also couples spend twice as much at the bar , 2 people = 2 drinks , so they pay their revenue that way.
It works out about even if you really think about it .
