I am sorry that you both can't make it along, if it helps for the record the £2 includes as stated "This charge is for both reservation of a specific area in the venue, but also includes the entry costs to the venue."
Whilst not a totally private venue, we will have a reasonable area of the venue for use by ourselves, and the 'pub' concerned does charge an entry cost for a Saturday night anyways.
