to such an extent that the anti-v etc could not scan and clean, and consequently, it appears that the lappy's Security Centre has kicked in and now simply refuses to allow me to get the machine working beyond a start-up screen.
(I'm not even sure of the validity of this, and the 'security centre' is asking me for cash to progress!?!)
so, is there a way for me to override this start up thingie and get the machine cleaned?
You may have surmised that Im using another machine to type this.

I take insults well. . . comes from my place in the family. . my eldest and youngest siblings tend to over react to the slightest slur on their character. . I put it to you that whats insulting to me may not be insulting to you therefore is there such a thing as an insult!
