Being new to this just wondered if you have a Essex munch or south east or something?? I just missed the London one (work) & the Mids is a bit far away??
Jaine
Laugh - I nearly yakked...superbly funny. Maybe I will employ you to write my next ad...?

Yes a long thread Carpathian & what clever person started it ...... wink
Some amazing names coming thru here..
The The - Matt Johnson - He was a good friend of Marc Almond (who was my teenage dream) & I used to go to all the gigs & Matt was often there...
Throwing Muses ...another 4AD legend..Tanya Donnelly & Kristen Hersch...what a duo!!
AC/DC another personal favourite & went to see them in the 80's ...great fun as were Iron Maiden.
But gotta say I still cant believe I am going to see The Pixies in June...that has been a dream for so long..
More
Sugarcubes
Mary Margaret O'Hara
Shellyann Orphan
Virginia Astley....
worth listening to if you get the chance
Jaine
p.s Am going to see a band called PaperChase soon , anyone got or heard of him, supposed to be awesome....
Wahey....Martin Grech, I only did not list him because nobody seems to know who the hell he is....wow, what an album & voice. He plays near me at Colchester loads & I have bullied many people to go till they now are all total Grech addicts. (thank you Lexus).
Few other gods...
Nick Cave
And you will know them by the trail of dead
Deftones
Clinic
I just love this forum, people that know their music...Not one mention of Hearsay or Will Young yet..Oh joy....deep deep joy. biggrin
See my marshmallows were a good idea..yum yum. May have to buy some on way to work tonight...
Well thank you very much for your support...however, may leave the ad thing a while now as enjoying the forum & it's very interesting people far too much to bother with some of the muppets I seemed to attract last time...
Jaine

Host of Seraphim - Dead can dance

Oh dear I really broke a law...what will the punishment be?? Please dont stop me posting ever again...I could not bear it as I love you all so much already & come out in hives if I dont get on the forum every few hours...
Your Moist slave
Not sure...I should have read the other one first but what the hell...Sorry xx
Sorry you will all have to excuse my self pitying ramblings today...dont know what the hell is the matter with me...maybe doing nite shift is getting to me...
I shall shut the feck up & only post when I have nice happy sensible things to say smile
Funny, but when I was younger I used to have a few wishes & these were:
1. To live in a bungalow....(strange but coz I lived in a flat under an alcoholic for 7 years a bungalow was a dream) so when the council finally re-housed me guess what...a bungalow !!
2. To own a fast new car ( after having old bangers that cost max £600 I always dreamed of a heater that worked & a car that started 1st time) & again....thru something I wont go ino here I got my dream car.
3. To have a job that was worthwhile & never boring, that paid well & I made a difference to peoples lives (well got that too last year working for the police)
4. To meet someone who would be my soulmate, my equal, my best friend/lover/companion etc etc. Thought I had met him once but it all went very pete tong so scared me off for a while...
So 3 out of 4 is pretty damn cool & I should be the happiest bunny in the field but...material stuff realy aint worth a toss at the end of the day is it..
Whoops so much for shutting up...(slopes off to her corner & puts duct tape over her mouth)... redface
Forgiven Carpathian.......but of course....
Actually again I was holding back on the 'real' music I love which includes Interpol, Cooper Temple Clause, Sisters Of Mercy & of course Bahaus....What happend to Mr Cheekbones Pete Murphy...remember the Maxell ad he was in??? Gorgeous...I always drive according to the music I am listening to so if it is Metallica/Nirvana or Soundgarden etc you had better get out of my way coz I aint stopping for anyone,,,however if it is Bob Dylan, Jeff or Neil then I shall be cruising & singing my little heart out - thank god for tinted windows..
Totally not on thread but you lot are superb, amazing & lovely & more than once you have bought a tear to my eyes & joy to my heart...thank you each & every one xxxx :P
But you don't need the ads. You've got us! Just imagine - right now, there's dozens of people all around the country thinking "that Moist is a nice girl, isn't she? Grammar isn't the nice old lady she visits on the weekends. She owns her own dictionary. And I bet she types with more than two fingers at once. I'll cancel my holiday and spend the next month hiding under a bridge in Wales, waiting for her to drive across."
You are lovely, thank you. But people thinking I am a nice girl aint gonna let me meet "him" whoever he may be...Sometimes think I will end up an old & grey spinster living all alone in her bungalow with only her dogs & cats for company..
Hmmm
Ooops sorry but reading that thread I think it is a slightly different idea I was expressing....never mind.

**just ignore me & I go away after a bit**
What/Who would be on your perfect album, I was thinking about this at 3am this morning when it had eventually quietened down at work...Mine would include the following:
Kate Bush
Jeff Buckley
David Bowie
Neil Young
The Pixies
Radiohead
Coldplay - early stuff
Joy Division
The Smiths
Cocteau Twins
Pink Floyd
Probably think of tons more as soon as I press submit...

Come on up here Moist, (have a look at your Hobbies thread) no jags needed, no
passport (YET) remote, a few days of doing nothing wink  that will relax you.
Problem though, can't guarantee good weather dunno :dunno: Slim

Dont give a monkeys bout the weather or I would not spend loads of time in wales...only downside is I dont have a uniform or truncheon so does that mean I cant visit now then?? sad

maybe they could stamp my passport at the toll bridge..... ha ha

At the troll bridge?
LMFAO @ Djohn....& it is only in the morning & just got in from a hard nite shift so thank you for making me chortle so loudly I scared my dogs...
Stop it all of you or I shall definately be going back to Wales ......maybe they could stamp my passport at the toll bridge..... ha ha
Your way too kind Djohn..bless xxx
Cheers for the offer Dylan I will keep it in mind wink
I think I know what you mean about women reading true crime more than blokes but I think that is a different thing entirely..I think women like the danger aspect - you know the man treating them rough type thing - I mean hundreds of very evil killers get so much fanmail inc marriage proposals sent thru the post from every day 'normal' women...
My interest is not for that - I started getting into it when Peter Sutcliffe got caught I was about 12 & my dad had a few books on the Moors Murderers so I sorta caught the bug from him. Mine is more the psychology/sociology point really. I want to do a criminology course at Midlesex Uni but the tuition fees are horrendous & I would have to give up my job so.....

Get out of the way gottohaveit I was here first...stop pushing me - we can share the pictures. Play nicely or go sit in the corner with a naughty hat on. (Wanna race, be the only time I can beat a V6) !! wink
I have another hobby which I kept back...no not that sort
True Crime - really into serial killers/mass murderers etc - wanna understand how & why etc...what makes one human capable of things that we cannot comprehend. Hence my job in the police....Find it all fascinating & get a lot of books/dvds etc from USA where they are a lot more open about it than us...
Jaine (who is NOT a serial killer)
Superb Blue - makes my dog walk I just been on in the snow seem very boring now ....
